So it doesn't actually say the moon itself orbits Arkay, that's ambiguous enough that the moons might be one and the same.

Ah! Interesting. Though, the Dark Moon has been around for longer than the Necromancer's Moon- you actually go there in ESO, where it is called 'the Den of Lorkhaj'. So, I don't think the two are the same moon.

Who says the Necro Moon hadn't been there the whole time as well?

... Now you're confusing me. I thought the Necromancer's Moon was created by Mannimarco's apotheosis, which happened long after ESO.

I remember that quest. It was really interesting and surreal - as was the whole quest arc involving the Mane.

We don't really know what happened when Mannimarco became a god other than it happened during the Warp in the West which was a Dragon Break. It rewrote time and did a whole of shenanigans. For all we know it made it that the Necromancers Moon had always been there or that it was once a realm of another god but now Mani claims it as his own.

Haha. Actually, I'm not sure where is Veloth heading with it, but everytime I see something like that I can only think of Dragonbreak. Or maybe Dark Moon was a corpse-planet of so.e Necromancer and Mannimarco just Mantled it. I really don't know. We'll see what will Veloth come up with.
