    >Wandering Knight.

Just some stray thoughts going nowhere in particular, about Akatosh, and Helgen, and Alduin

What does he think when hearing the priest (-ess?) at the Empire's chopping block. Does he see a dark avatar of Akatosh when Alduin swoops in and gives him the Look?

What does he think when he learns that the Firstborn is sent to distroy his world?

Maybe he is another messenger/Avatar of the TES Loki's, come to mess with  the stuck up Aedra.

Hello, everyone, I'm kinda new to this site and discussion group, anyway, I had an idea on a roleplay...

Sorry I've taken so long to reply, Wandering. Had a few late nights recently so I slept through most of yesterday. DB has answered this question way better than I ever could though, so I don't think there's much more to say (but I will mention that I'm a big fan of his Kynareth idea!). Hope you enjoy your stay at the site mate!

Should my Khajiit thief swear? like a mix of both Colovian - the usual, fuck and shit, that kind of thing - and Ta'agara - Renrij, K'sharraj, Draj?

Would it sound wierd because of their accent, or would it be appropriate?

In my experience, people find a way to swear no matter their accent - it's just something people do really. Let it be said that no Geordie will ever not swear because of how they sound, and Khajiits would be the same (sorry Khajiits for comparing you to Geordies btw :P).

Can you provide a tiny bit more context pretty please? Is this Wandering Knight aligned to Akatosh? Because if so I'd say he saw Alduin's arrival as a challenge. The gods in ES don't really seem the type to just destroy the world - there's gotta be some challenge. Either your character stops it, and proves himself as Akatosh's Chosen or something like that, or Akatosh realises there's no one worthy of his attention in Tamriel and goes full on 'bay lobbing toys out the pram' type angry.

I've decided to do some Thieves Guild quests, then side jobs and two influence quests, then another main quest, then more side/influence jobs, then the rest of the main quest. I can't decide what order to hit the cities in, though. The quests for Markarth and Windhelm both have you return items to NPCs, which seems like it contradicts the premise of a guild devoted to stealing.

I think the devs were intending for returning the Skeleton Key to the Twilight Sepulchre to be an ironic twist (player dialogue calls it the "first time I ever set out to return something"), but I feel like it wouldn't be much of a twist if the player has experience returning Endon's mold and Fjotli's locket. On the other hand, it wouldn't make sense for the guy who stopped Mercer and restored the Guild's luck to have to do a bunch of comparatively petty/lesser jobs before they can be made Guildmaster.

My thoughts on it are investing and securing the Guild as a powerful tool in Skyrim, regardless of returning items.

Hey guysI wanted to know if Anyone has interesting and unique ways to learn Spells instead of simply just learning it. This is my current way of Learning Spells.

You buy the Spellbook and seek out youre Research area or comfort zone ( like a Temple for a Priest or Nature for a Druid).

Then read the Book and wait a certain amount of hours factoring in Spell level, Skill Level and the spells Complexity, learning to tranform Iron into pure Gold would be more complex than learning to summon and shoot Fire.

The next stage is Practical training. for example

My Necromancer learned the Spell "Raise Zombie" by going outside and experimenting on Rabbits and Foxes. How much damage can it take, how long does the Spell last, can multipe corpses be animated at once, what happens on "re-death".

He also learned "Oakflesh" by determining what damage sources get reduced. He jumped off a Balcony, stepped on a campfire, got hit by a sword, got bitten by wolfs.

    Be creative and Experiment :D

Maybe you could RP that they're friends of the guild? Like how some shops have a mark on them to show they're protected, or at least off limit for members to steal from. They could be moles, or maybe help run a fraudulent or blackmail racket in the city. Or maybe they're old friends of a senior guild member (ie Delvin or Vex) who wants to repay them a favour.

The book Breathing Water sums up how I feel about this. Magic is the type of thing that you throw yourself into, letting it take over until you have complete faith in it. It requires practice more so to gain familiarity and confidence rather than skill.

Your examples are brilliant as well, especially the Oakflesh one. It's almost like a science, identifying risks and shifting the magic appropriately. Your Raise Zombie is also very scientific, and it makes sense to me - can you really control something unless you know everything there is to know about something? I prefer to go for a more 'feeling' based approach, but I like both ways.

I guess you could apply the types of learning in real life to magic, if you approach it as a typical subject and not something with inherent proficiency. Some people are visual learners, so going for a 'class' at the college (ie chilling in the Arcaneum and 'watching' a professor for a bit) would be the best way forward etc.

Hey i am playing the College storyline, but i dont want him to become the Archmage. It doesnt fit the Character. So what is a good point to stop? I have to find the Augur right now but havent advanced it.

If I remember the order of quests properly it might have to be now. Once you return from Mzulft the College is messed up, the only way to solve it is to eventually become Archmage.

I'm trying to add character arcs to my dissociative identity team idea.  I'm thinking that the whole group would be a multiple-personality version of the Student or the Aspiring Mage. Start out with only the pure warrior(s) available, then learn X spell and unlock the person who uses that spell (but also the fighters switch from physical weapons to bound weapons). I think I'm stacking too many things.
