Yep, I approve of that. Better to take your time until you are happy and enjoy it rather than rush to a deadline.

I agree. It'll also take me a full day or two to sort out the art alone.

Well, a rather disappointing update which leaves me in a quandry as to what to do with this build.

Yesterday, upon taking the Atronach perk in my game to have 80% spell absorb, noticed the huge rate in which summons were failing. Yes, this is expected in a Vanilla game due to the spell absorption glitch with the atronach stone, but... I run a patched game and lol, that was the one of the first glitches they fixed. So I reverted to an earlier save and didn't take the perk. I'm still failing on summons, but much less.

So I decided to run a quick SSE test to see if I get more stability with the patches installed and I quick level to level 40 to test the perks and all that, some gear, you know how it goes. The summons are not failing in my SSE game. The staff summons are, but not the standard summons. I'm thinking great, problem solved, can resume build.

Equilibrium was to be a shifting point for this build and I'm glad I decided to try it out in both games.

In oldrim, I resumed my game and started Labryinthian. Got to the Equilibrium part, and good thing cause I had no magicks because I have no regen. Well, I couldn't cast it, nothing, zippo. It says I have no magicka. Sitting in Labyrinthian with a full ton of health and yet I can't replenish my magicka.

So I wonder, well my Oldrim game sucks soo, let's go to SSE and maybe it'll work corretly, right?

So I loaded that SSE test. I actually had used Equilibriium as a test in Forelhost and it worked. But then I said, let me try something,  so I drained my magicka totally, like nothing left, using flames. And then I tried to cast Equilibrium.

Nothing. I didn't work, I got the same prompt, that I needed magicka. Same situation, a full ton of health.

The principle of Equilibrium is that it costs zero magicka because it drains health. I have zero magicka therefore I should be able to cast equilibrium. This is logical, right?

I removed the witbane through cure disease. I can cast eqilibrium. I am also getting the potent equlibrium glitch in a patched game, so not sure if this is glitch that the patches miss. I am now wondering if the 0% regen from my witbane is different from the 0% regen through the advanced atronach.

I'm not especially upset, builds go through stuff like this all the time. Would love to get some thoughts on this cause it's weird. If push comes to shove, I'll start from scratch. I'm super happy with the skills and the overall gameplay, it's  just these last little late  level details, you know. He's played most of the game with summons and staff summons glitch, so I'm  getting magicka. I'm beating Morokei and stuff, I just wanted to be able to do it with Equilibrium.

EDIT: Nevermind. Thanks to Ebonslayer, Urag is going to be fine, use Equilibriium and be a badass doing it without a single potion. The glory of eating. :D

Sounds like a fun run. So Equilibrium won't work at all if you have 0 Magicka? Or only won't work and your doing the whole Witbane thing? Either way that's a pretty interesting little problem that might alter playthroughs...

Cool stuff, would've sucked if there wasn't a way around it, but still kind of interesting :)

yeah, doesn't work, though I am still very curious if the Advanced Atronach builders have the same issue, I would assume so, but it just hasn't been mentioned. Leave it to the Daedric prince of continuity and detail to point out, well, a detail.

Daedric Prince of Continuity and Detail are what Lorc of Flowers and Teineeva call me when I'm being particularly picky about something story-related.

Didn't you know that that Equilibrium doesn't work with no magicka? But still, a weapon with absorb magicka 1 point would be enough to get you going.

So you solved the problem by eating something? I like that :D Just enough of a pick-me-up to cast equilibrium, and a nice RP thing to boot!

No, I didn't know. After my champagne-induced post, I looked it up and noticed that wee, wee little sentence right in the bottom there.

"This spell cannot be cast if you have zero magicka, despite it having no magicka cost."

And I saids "oh", had a laugh at my dumbness and drank more champagne. I'm human, not a perfect gaming machine. Then Ebonslayer was nice enough to lend me a hand and reminded me of the glories of wortcraft. So Urag got through lab, Equilibrium and all by chewing on ectoplasm. :D In plenty supply there, along with some spare he had from the museum. Did enough to do the trick. If you read the build you'll notice bound weapons, so they don't absorb, and Urag can't be arsed to carry anything else save his Zephyr. Lol, the point is that I find this out now and not when the build goes up, eh?

Can't use it, on a patched game. Though lol, my patched game is acting up a tad. This build was so much easier on SSE.

*smacks lips* gotta love that ectoplasm! Delicious. I'll post a whole range of ingredients when I post the build. And yes, aborb weapons work too. But, gah, that Gauldur bow guzzles more soul gems than I guzzle champagne.

Playtest is finished, I will start the artwork tomorrow, but I may change my mind as to what I will work on next.
