Refined it further and added back one-handed. I just felt because of the heavy cost of bound bow and his lack of a deep magicka pool and the lack of regen that leveling conjuration was going to just be a chore unless I supplemented it somehow. Reintroducing one-handed, provided that needed synergy. I just hate spending part of the game just training.

He's got several of his spells already and am about to head to the eastmarch to make the True Atronach happen. I'll probably do Blood on the ice first though. That be such a glitchy quest.

PS: He found a Daedric war axe. Uh... keeping that. I love Morrowloot. He was searching for the old apprentices minding his business and then frostfall made him cold so he sought shelter on the way to the argonian working with the skeevers.

Best thing I ever did was add one-handed and drop sneak. At level 17 now and the gameplay without sneak is way more fun! He only had Vokun left before his gear is set. I may grab one of the apprentices for that, probably the Dunmer since she's a conjurer. The more that pummel on Vokun, the better. He has Oblivion Binding, so this will help with Vokun if he can get close enough.

I can't believe I'm making this work. No regen, no stat potions. I may actually drop potions all together as he's not really using any of them (he's used potion of strength like twice, and if you play Legacy of the Dragonborn, you'll know why). It would actually make his inventory much lighter and his coin purse fuller. I need to overhaul the art, push the boundaries a bit with regard to build template, so I'll do some thinking.

Level 22 and I've picked up Ranger for Archery. Debaating whether or not to pick up the slow time perks for Archery too as, get this, I've never used them before. It's like me and Quick Reflexes in Block, I only started using that perk for the Outsider, after about 4000 hours in the game. What I may do is take the perks and then NOT take quick shot and power shot, so balance the build.

I have been playing several levels now where I only use real weapons because casting isn't allowed on horseback. I'm also considering adding Wildcat as the build is getting easier to handle.

Soon I'll be starting to perk Illusion for Fear spells. And tonight I go get Vokun.

Got the slow time perks for archery, but to gimp myself, I won't get Power Shot, Quick Shot, or Bullseye. Honestly, I think the Archery tree is nearly done for him, so I'll be moving on to the other skills.

Lied, still haven't gotten Vokun, the Legacy of the Dragonborn had my attention last night and I was just organizing my stuffs. Happens with that mod. The roleplay is that he gets into a bad argument with Aren after the eye is brought to the college, so you should start the Legacy of the Dragonborn after Hitting the Books. I didn't play it quite in this order, but I like the idea of it.

    Alternate Start - college

Blood on the Ice and Obtain true Atronach - Calixto stole the amulet Urag was safeguarding.

Acquire a staff of Storm Atronach or any atronach - this is your source of power for the build. Best if it is a staff of Storm Atronach. Like I said, cutting room floor or patches add one next to a corpse near a dead frost troll. I rp'd it as somebody stealing the staff from Urag as it is his source of power from his pact with Dagon.

Under Saarthal - the librarian would lead the expidition.

Fetch quests for Urag and Shalidor's Insights

Waking Nightmare - Vaermina's Devotion, a cloak from Cloaks of Skyrim

Hitting the Books - Returns to find the eye of Magnus in Winterhold, leaves the College in disgust.

Legacy of the Dragonborn - to safeguard artifacts in another location

Obtain Vokun and return to the college as the College's last hope - do good intentions and Finish any Shalidor's Insights

    Dawnguard

    Dragonborn

    Shalidor's Maze

Finish the College quests & Pieces of the Past - screw over Mehrunes Dagon and don't reassemble the dagger. Also after this and when you discover Equilibrium and have the Atronach perk from Alteration, throw away the staff from the beginning of the game (your last tie to Dagon). At least that is the theory. With no consumption of potions of any kind, this may get very scary. Especially during Labyrinthian, but potentially also exciting.

A lot of progress indeed! A few days back you mention doing fetch quests for Urag. That must be an interesting situation :D it looks like you are coming close to the finish line, Lis.

Yeah, it's kind of weird, Urag telling Urag what to do. I'm rp'ing it as him just doing the research and going on his own.

I still have a lot to do. Mainly overhauling the art. I'm better with PowerPoint and paint.net now, so it's time to see what I can do.

I think you don't need to lack confidence in your artistic abilities, that's for sure! It'll look the Orc's tusk :)

    Thanks, Phil.

Well, seems I've got a release date of 12/30, just in time to close the year and a year after Shin's wonderful Librarian's Daughter was released. Hope Urag proves worthy to follow that legacy. :D

Managed to extract and create in a new workshop thread the discussions on the True Atronach. I will try to sythesize the information into something that makes sense, so that members can duplicate the glitch that makes Urag work. In addition, Ebonslayer has sent me a mod that easily recreates Urag's special condition.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel, after more than a year stewing on this build. 8 days of feverish work ahead. Art still needs to be reevaluated. Playtest is level 32 and I'm really just waiting on high end Conjuration, Alteration and to build Illusion and Speech trees. One-handed is much lighter perked than I expected and really only serves as magic usage source (bound sword is great to cast, cheap and effective) in early game and a source of fast attack before he gets Ranger. I played True Atronach as soon as I reached the Atronach stone, which was around level 4, because it's a long walk from Winterhold to the Volcanic springs and I did Blood on the Ice along the way. I completed the journey and then got Bound Bow soon after, which allowed me to use it from the beginning, but it's not as effective until Ranger is achieved. Once Ranger is achieved, I really haven't used one-handed since, so I've changed his tags to reflect that, so you'll see littler change to the One-handed tree from level 20 to level 45. What's nice, because of the Staff summons glitch, he was able to use magic rather freely and it was so awesome to not carry potions. Some scary moments, because sometimes I needed that Atronach. In fact with found gear from Morrowloot and Legacy, he hasn't really taken any potions and I may just drop the ones in my inventory forever. Not needed. I think he's used one, one fortify pickpocket to get a key for Legacy of the Dragonborn. That's it.

Dremora Lords are awesome. Storm Atronachs are awesome. Frost atronachs are awesome. Flame Atronachs are good for early game, but the Dremora Lord  supercedes it at higher levels due to the flame enchantment of their weapons. Don't have enough heart stones to really mess a round with ash guardians, but I'll head to solstheim and do some mining. I also need Apochrypa to do Conjure Seeker. I have conjure scamp from Beyond Bruma and I think Immersive adds another conjuration spell, not sure.

Gonna let Barbas go, was fun while it lasted, but I want that mask. :D

The sickness will come with Equilibrium and getting the Atronach perk in Alteration. Glad I gave him a large health pool. I will be now abandoning the 2:1 ratio for health and magic and going full health until endgame. He has more than enough magicka for what he needs to do and I need the health for Equilibrium. So I'll need to get my health pool up before I go to Lab.

Almost done, just waiting for Urag to have 100 alteration, so I can put in the final perks and do some testing. Won't get this out by the end of the year, I want to take my time an do it right. So probably very early next year.

Dropping Illusion, as it's not really needed with his speech skill. I do see him using Invisibility sometimes, but I doubt I'll perk it as it is a utility illusion spell not a manipulating one. So Vokun is still a strong choice for head gear. This also brings his level down some, about 40 to 42.
