Hmm... I know there is an Unofficial Patch which stops the Atronach stone from absorbing Summons, however I don't think I was/am able to recreateh the part were it nulifies the bug where your Own Summons are absorbed. True, true. I will try the Ring now.

I tested it with the ring of the Erudite, and that breaks the True Atronach. So the bug is some combination of having a base regen of 3 and all 3 reduce regen effects. I vaguely remember reading an article in tips and tricks which talked about highborn, and said that instead of giving you a fortify regen effect it was adding to your base regen. Which would make sense in line with the ring breaking the glitch.
Anyway, when I went to test it my Skyrim wouldn't start, I'd get the launcher but that was it. Which was interesting... turns out it was a mod I'd recently installed.

Okay, so you need to give your soul to Molag Bal or be a member of the Superior Race to break the True Atronach. Tehe, so just to clarifiy, Apprentice won't kill it.

I believe it won't based on what lee said:
So restarted and got Witbane first, the both the Atronach and the Apprentice and it works!
The key part being "it works!"

I have tried the Ring of Eridute and it does NOT stop the True Atronach from working. All it simpnly does is increase the Magicka and increase the Magicka Regen which is barely noticeable. Even works with the Apprentice Stone.

Hmm, that's strange because I could toggle my magicka regen on and off by putting the ring on and taking it off when I tried earlier. I might have to try it again. Welp time to load up Testy Test-test, the Altmer who exists solely for my experiments *evil laughter*

Tested it again, and I got the same result. Wearing the ring does break the True Atronach as it causes you to regenerate magicka. For reference Liss, it's about the speed it regenerates with only one witbane and the Atronach. So while it may be painfully slow it is still regenerating and as such is not the True Atronach which is when there is 0 magicka regen.
