Character Build: The Witchhunter

Thanks Snakes. Your Demon hunter was part of what made me want to make a pure witchhunter. The Conductor move was an accidental find and its usefulness is amazing.

Do you think changing destruction into smithing to make more damage with bows so you dont need to help yourself with magic is roleplay wise or you wouldn't reccoment it?
I'm asking since I've used lots of magic in my previous builds and I dont really want to do it once again, but i dont want to completly lose feeling of Witchhunter.
Also if you would do it, do i have to go right or left side of smithing? IMO its rigth but im not sure.

    Hi Yeavin.

You can change the build to suit your needs however you want, but there are a lot of benefits to keeping destruction. It boosts the power of your elemental weapons and offers a different method of attack, allowing you to target groups of enemies as opposed to individuals with the bow. You'll also lose out on the conductor special move, which allows you to drain mages magicka while remaining out of their line of fire.

As I said you could take destruction out altogether, but you could also easily add in smithing while remaining under level 50 and keeping destruction. Taking steel, dwarven and arcane smithing should be more than enough for this character.

I don't understand how to play this build in the beginning and how to keep my skills from falling behind. Destruction in particular

The build plays the same all the way through Friezi. Use your summons to protect you and use your bow and destruction magic from stealth. However, in early levels you should level illusion quickly to get the quiet casting perk asap.

As for Destruction, it won't fall behind if you use it often. Once you have apprentice destruction you can use rune spells to help in combat but also as a way to level quickly. Then when you get to adept, the AoE spells will also help it to level quickly.

Lol, has the other one changed its name yet? I can't stand builds that use the same names as other, better ones.

To me the premise of a witch hunter, is that of a person who hates magic, and finds ways to nullify magic users without using magic themselves. Not a magic user who hunters magic users. Good job on the build but my image of a witch hunter differs from yours. I'll give you my like for the build not the premise.
