Although I'm a bit late to the party, sign me up for a Hircine/Lorkhan build. Toying around with a Dark Brotherhood or werewolf hunter build.

Great to hear Xenla, I'll add you to the list and eagerly await the build :D If you do need any help though, let me know and I'll do what I can.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be extending the end date of this event until the 1st of February. I will make note that it'll be my first of Feb, which makes it Australian, and thus possibly different from your own (I know that I'm around 16 hours ahead of some parts of the US, but I can't remember which time zone and I'm too tired to check at the moment...need coffee).

But it's been looking really great so far, Chris, Flamez and Dreadwalker have all released good builds so far and I'm pretty excited about the remaining three :D

All good Zal, the Event lasts for a couple more days since I didn't see the point in not ending it on the 1st of Feb.

This is turning out to be a nightmare. The Zaan Scalecaller/Dragon priestess of Moths idea was planned to be just using enchanting and the Ordinator staff and sword / spell and sword perks. Then I downloaded Ice Blade of the Monarch artefact and quest. Some wicked lore in the journal about the stalhrim dagger and its dragon priest connection. The simple theme has become complicated, though, as the concept changes form in my mind. I mean, I like the artistry and Dibella connection enchanting offers, but then I really like the ice theme and stalhrim crafting - ice sculpture, weaponised. Which throws me for a loop as I look at smithing askance. Knight of Iron territory to be avoided, but whenever we look too long at the interconnectivity of the Goddesses, it's hard to forget Zenithar and how the crafter creates beauty from the natural world. Long story short, got distracted by The Ice Blade of the Monarch, which is of course a two hander and defeats the staff idea :DThe plus side is the spellscribe perk...

Heh, I get that. Mine went from a reluctant Werewolf to a series of three builds (All related) that were going to match the three themes, to a Werewolf that just liked killing people and then finally to a Werewolf being manipulated by some gods. Went through a lot of changes, but that sounds rather interesting. Especially combining Spellscribe with Two-Handed Weapons :D

I am sort of interested in your new connection with Zenithar though. So is the idea sort of that Zenithar creates inanimate beauty or something along the lines of him crafting it, Dibella giving it beauty and then Mara filling it with love? Could work for just about anything from items to people if you were looking at it that way I suppose. Then if you were reeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly stretching things, then you've got Arkay representing the decay of beauty, or the preservation past death?

But those are just random thoughts.

Yep, then you know my pain :D And the fun of playtesting. Spellscribe will take some playing with due to so far having avoided Destruction. I'm going to play with it some using Resto spells like Sun Fire, but the main problem is that I got a bit carried away with Alteration at the expense of Destruction because Apocalypse makes that school particularly fun. We can see by that what a jumbled mess it is right now... For a character I intended to rely on Enchanting for damage with just a few perks here and there, it's blossomed into something in need of copiccing.

The Zenithar thing harkens back to the KotN dlc and the Mace of the Crusader quest and Saint Kaladas. Here's the full speech:

"Of the original divines, Zenithar is thought to be the most in touch with the mortal realm. Some legends say that Zenithar has close ties to Kynareth, an idea that is supported by the manner in which the two gods' realms interact. Craftsmen devoted to Zenithar are able to create and profit from the materials provided by Kynareth's natural world. The two work in harmony -- the natural world providing for the craftsmen. One cannot revere Zenithar without acknowledging the power of Kynareth."

Right or wrong, I like Zenithar as being Tsun the Whale so the idea of the old Nords hunting the whale and using all of the beast, creating scrimshaw items from the ivory, seems as fitting as the traditional anvil and smithing themes associated with Zenithar.

I think you're spot on with Arkay, too. He is the Lord of Seasons and governs both aspects of time and the natural world in a subtle but deep way. So there's the Dibellan aspect of creation and imagination/art in any crafting, then a Kynaran aspect in that the materials are of her domain, then there's the Zenitharian factor in the methodology, and an Arkayn process in terms of a definite start, middle, and end. Mara can fit anywhere within that, as indeed all the gods can.
