“The blood moon turns…a sheen, red surface filled with malice to the very core. This. This is the being that took from us our greatest gift. This is the being I will enact my vengeance upon!”

                                                                                                                                                                    ~ Tattered Journal

“I’ve been alone for years since the Hunt called. The forest, it beckoned to me.

It tempted me with its forbidden fruits, and I obliged without doubt…

Or, at least that’s what the visions showed me”

    Difficulty: Master

    Race: Bosmer Werewolf

Stats: 0/1/3 (until you reach 150 Health, then pump all into Stamina)

    Primary Skills: Lockpick, Sneak, Speech

Mods: Live Another Life, Alternate Start, Ordinator

“I killed again today…not just animal, but man. One of Hafnar’s crew, Gunjur, had an

argument with me over the last cart we ransacked. My vision flashed, and yet again the urges

gave way. I’ve got to get away from here before someone finds out.”

The Ráka is a hunter that utilizes a wide variety of tools to disable, and feast upon his foes. From bear traps, to tripwires, and his bestial companion. The Ráka is a predator to even the toughest enemies.

Two-Handed Tanks: These are the Hostile NPC’s that you have to watch out for in large group battles, should you get caught. The best way to take these guys out is either with your bow, or setting up multiple traps that you can lure them into. Block spamming them is also an effective means to kite away from the bruisers. Eating their flesh grants the Ráka an immense buff in health.

Mages: Magic users are fairly simple for the Lunar Ráka to hunt. Being that our cap is level 20 we don’t have to worry about the mages that spawn in with higher level destruction spells, like Thunderbolt and Ice Storm. I found that the best two ways were to either howl via werewolf and gang up on them, or use your sword to repeatedly stab them using your Wolf to draw spell-fire.

Undead: Hunting these specific foes is rather simple, but distasteful since you can’t gain buffs from their dead corpses or werewolf perk progression. Any combination of sword and board, or archery will send these guys back to the dead. We simply don’t hunt vampires, but should you encounter one then treat them much like a mage, and perhaps use some bear traps.

Archers: Dodging and working your way towards them is the easiest way to take other marksman on, or if you can, sneak up on them using either a sword or bow usually one shots them.

    - Call of the Wilds -

Requirements: Totem of the Moon, Speak with Animals

Your Howl echoes across the land calling in others of the beast blood, as well as the ever faithful Ice Wolf battling beside you. This is something I used on things like Hagravens/forsworn encampments or Giants/Mammoths

    - It's a Trap! -

Requirements: Bear Trap, Tripwire, One-Handed, Archery

Setting up bear traps in a narrow corridor and a tripwire close behind you fire your first shot into the enemies only to see the strongest fall over the wire. Draw your blade and end them while they lay helpless. I used this on the tankier enemies found in caves and hideouts.

    - Blood Pact -

Requirements: Wild Senses, Green Pact, Clean Kill, Archery, Paralysis Poison

You crouch in wait, sensing the position of your enemies. Silently you move. One arrow, one kill… and then you feast. It’s good to know where your enemies are. 4 seconds of crouch will identify enemies in a 350 ft zone and Green Pact lets you eat humans for 10% of their stats.

“These feelings are growing stronger. I can envision the hatred of my ancestors, radiate like the fierce

fires of the sun. I have given in to the primal instincts, it was my first bite; I can feel the life

energy dispersing throughout me already. It was… filling. Perhaps I can find redemption for my

    deeds, maybe someday.”

    Elven Boots Fortify Sneak

    Elven GauntletsFortify One-Handed

    Elven HelmetFortify Archery

    Scaled Horned ArmorFortify Light Armor

    Elven Bow

    Elven Sword

    Elven Shield

    Ring of Hircine

    Necklace Fortify Sneak/Archery

The Raka knowns a little about alchemy from the years he spent with Hafnar’s Crew. He mainly uses lingering poisons that have the side effects of paralysis. He boosts this skill with enchanted items found throughout his travels. Here are some of the personal poisons I decided to concoct:

Ingredients: Imp stool, Canis Root, Mora Tapinella

Effects: Lingering Damage Health + Paralysis

Ingredients: River Betty, Deathbell, Thistle Branch

Effects: Slow + Ravage Stamina + Damage Health

Ingredients: Swamp Fungal Pod, Canis Root, Purple Mountain Flower

Effects: Lingering Damage Magicka + Paralysis

Not knowing where to go the Ráka, formerly known as Thothuar Treekin, joins up with one of Skyrims many bandit groups. Here he tastes his first flesh; he also learns deceit, trickery, and some basic recipes of Alchemy. The wolf tries his best to make a turn in his life and help out the people of Skyrim, but sometimes he can’t help himself to his old ways.

When it comes to thieving and murder Thothuar isn’t necessarily against it, but he makes an attempt to avoid it, spending most of his time taking on bounties and clearing his head with a good hunt.

He embraces the werewolf form after meeting the Companions Circle in Whiterun and soon after helps Sinding kill the Hunters after him. He feels remorse for his blood brothern, after all he isn’t emotionless. Hircine is still his God so try to offer up something to him when in the wilderness. Although Kodlak is giving up his gift the Lunar Raka has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Harbinger, granting him a life in Sovengarde; eventually you become Harbinger.

Imperious – Races of Skyrim: Adds three passives to each race and an unlockable ability through a quest.

Frostfall: Adds a cold effect to Skyrim. You can freeze to death if not careful (pass out) and armor/clothing provides a warmth/coverage ratio

Campfire: Required to run Frostfall; adds in backpacks, camping gear (tents, walking sticks, etc.), and an immersive campfire placeable anywhere.

Cloaks of Skyrim: A plethora of capes and cloaks are added into the game. These also provide a warmth/coverage rating. (also they look amazing)

Alternate Start: Adds in a ton of new start options to the game in various locations. It also haas specific choices depending on the race you choose.

Ordinator - A complete makeover of the vanilla perk trees with many new options and very few original perks.

Thanks to Deebs for hosting this Flash Event. It was a great time, and the time-fun ratio was unmatched. Looking forward to the next one as well! I’d also like to thank YOU for reading; I can only hope that you enjoyed, and if you decide to try this out even better! Any feedback is appreciated and noted.

I think I'll wait until you've had a bit of a sleep before dropping comments. I think some of the stuff I'd mention might be stuff you just overlooked so, yeah, will just wait before a big comment :)

Yes, thanks for holding off. I definitely wasn't thinking clearly lol. Anyways It is up now, but I couldn't get the Alchemy section to behave itself :/ If someone could take a look at it I'd appreciate it very much!

Man, this has come a long way from your teaser pic. It looks seriously good! I want to know more about Thotuar Treekin's days amongst Hafnar's brigands :) Did you use Live Another Life for the bandit start?

Yes, I forgot to add in Alternate Start to the mod list. Also I may write some extended backstory; expanding on Thothuar could be an interesting ToC I think ;-)

Yo Flamez got my full comment here with criticism and all. So I don't really know exactly what to say because really my only thing is that there just isn't enough for me to judge the character. I mean, I feel a Backstory, for example, would really help this character shine, at the moment it's kind of lacklustre to me, I know it's a Mini Build but at the moment it feels kind of more like a framework for a character idea rather than a specific character. I know you've got the little snippets spread throughout, but it still feels like there isn't enough to it.

The gameplay section is alright enough, but I do feel like you should go into a bit more detail on the mods that you've used. I mean, you've mentioned Imperious but haven't gone into any detail on how that's changed the build (or really worked it into the build), the same goes for Frostfall and Campire. Those two mods drastically change a lot of things about basic gameplay and I think if you're presenting a build using them, you have to go into more detail.

So yeah, really I think the build just needs a bit more detail. At the moment it's still pretty bare in my opinion, feels like it could be fun but it's just really hard for me to fully understand the ideas behind the build, or make much of a judgement. None of what's here is bad by the way, I realized that I hadn't mentioned it yet, but I do like what's here, it just feels like it's half of what should be here if that makes sense?

I feel ya DB. I can tell that it is pretty bare bone looking back at it, and I'm not exactly sure where I'd fit in where the mod details go, but perhaps throughout. Idk if the event is officially over, however I could get home around 4 pm and go to work making this an ACTUAL character build; if that's ok with you?

I guess I just normally have it through the ringer of the Workshop enough to take in all the thoughts, and I didn't know how long the build should look. I guess I was a bit afraid to make an overly long Flash Event if you now what I mean? Thanks for all the criticism though; that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for ;-)

  • January 31, 2018

Nah man, you can't make an overly long build...well I mean it's possible but damn hard :)

The event's still got a day left, but really I'm fine with updates. I mean the build itself is complete, your just adding more to it so it's not a problem for me. Really I'd be cool if you were editing it a week later to be honest, just not a big deal in my books (unless you posted a 100 word build that fit all the rules and that's all).

Ok, there will definitely be updates then

This was really good! The only thing I found was that Ordinator was not included with the mod list, but it's pretty obvious you used it. Other than that it was a great read.
