Yes, and the Resotration potions, Necromage don't work on the perk and the gauntlets alike, so no increase that way as well.

Vaz, do you know if Restoration enchantments increase the effectiveness of the wards?

    They decrease the casting cost.

Ah, right.... I thought those enchantments increased spell effectiveness. Hrm... Oh well.

last night i was really stuck on Mirmulnir (which for some reason was a blood dragon). i was almost dead when i remembered this page and the tip on dragons so i downed a potion and charged at it ward up! It broke through the ward almost instantly and it kept breaking through every time i put it up. Am i doing something wrong because my wards dont negate all the dragon breath

if it helps it was a lesser ward

It shouldn't be that way! Maybe your ward wasn't fully charged?

Are you a vampire? Most blood dragons are exclusively Fire, making you highly vulnerable to that damage. Your Ward could be factoring in your weakness to the wards own spell resist.

I doubt that. The wards are considered separate objects, that's why player spell absorption doesn't work with them (the spells don't reach the player). For the same reason player weaknesses should not apply to them.

Can it be that you have some mods installed that alter wards? The dragon breath blocking goes on from the game's release and it's a well known fact. I tested it again to be sure and it worked as written. No dragon managed to destroy my ward spells even Ancient and Legendary ones.
