Good idea! But make it simple. Maybe just like TamVault user's name, Name, DOB-DOD.

I'll get my new character started tomorrow (thank god for the quick start mod I have, starts me popping out of the cryo chamber thing) and try to get them registered tomorrow night. I think I'll be a lot more liberal with my drug usage this time around.

Okay, be honest. How many here are running with Dog Meat and Lone Wanderer?

Yeah, there's literally no other way to carry all the weapons I would conceivably need (pistol, medium range rifle, sniper, "heavy" weapons like a magnum, and all my grenades) without Lone Wanderer. Which brings me to an important question. How are you all handling food? The way I do it is leaving all my irradiated food at my home base and only taking purified water, clean, cooked food, and some empty bottles for emergencies. Any other novel approaches that I don't know about?

On Food - Ponty's tip about using local leader to connect settlements and dropping uncooked food in the workshop is a good one for later on. But the one I like best is heading to Sunshine So-op and getting the Wasteland Survival Guide. 2x meat harvested really comes in handy. I also setup shop at the Red Rocket and got a few settlers farming - beleive it or not Melons provide food and hydration. Next up is clearing Hangman's alley for a more central location...pretty good chance my Obit is incoming :)  Level 10 - made it to Diamond City...

On top of getting the double meat mag perk, use that in conjunction with mirelurks. Tough at low level but with the magazine you get meat off the little hatchlings which means a boat load of meat. In my last survival playthrough I also found mirelurk meats to be a lot more filling usually only needing one to satisfy all but the worst hunger which means lower carry weight and the stupid things are quite common if you know where to look. My two cents *disappears back into the darkness*

I'm interested to see how you all go about saving Nick. There can be a lot of bullets flying around at any one time in that quest. For my non-DiD survival character I'm planning on beefing up my power armour as much as possible and just wading in with a shotgun and lots of chems.

Been thinking about this a lot...so I'm trying to use melee but taking too much damage. Almost died from two ferals hitting me once. Weighing my options of PA or beefing up my armorer and chemical abilities. I just bought The Wastelander Chest piece wiht Biocommesh...so maybe the chem route it is.

    OK I'll bite

This is a character that I've been thinking about for a while. I'll genuinely play DiD, but once I die (and have posted the obituary) I'll be reloading and continuing the character, as I don't have the time to invest in a character that gets binned after having put many hours into it.

    Name: 'Psycho' Sam

    DOB: 4/18/17

    Class Tag: Melee Chemist

    Difficulty Level: Normal

This is going to be a guy who exits the Vault totally broken and without any hope of finding his son. He quickly descends into a pit of drug and alcohol abuse, obsession with explosives and - wher enecessary - lashing out with sharp objects! His path will be a genuine lone wanderer (no companions) just a lonely violent world of self-loathing.

Got the SPECIALS and perks worked out up to Lvl 20, starting it later today...

FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION. I knew this place would be a make-or-break dungeon and I done broke it. I didn't see the guy...what's worse is that I probably could have just scraped by had I taken the crit I had banked instead of panicking.
