Damn mollies. One of the reasons I'm not playing Explosives on this build is I tend to toast myself on an overhang more often than I hit my target.

Ha ha, i know I keep waiting for the hammer to drop and end my fun.  Really it's because I know what's coming so I can plan for it.  So far I've had a few close calls and they were all either random encounters or I was exploring someplace new.

    still going?

All right, level 9 with the Valkyrie. I've finished When Freedom Calls at level 4 and now I've joined the Brotherhood of Steel. I don't know whether to stick with the Brotherhood and fight as an honorable warrior seeking a rightful end or join the Nuka World factions and roleplay an Apocalyptic Viking Raider. Decisions, decisions. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. So far I've almost died from a mine in Lexington appartments. I gotta say, Blitz and Melee saved my hide more than once. I enjoy a lot the lack of fast travelling. It keeps my head in the game, always being vigilant of the areas I'm passing through.

Yeah once you get to a certain amount of damage it's super useful. The only issue I've found is with multple vats attacks in melee...assuming you don't one-hit kill them...every once in a while the game sort of freeze-glitches in animation and you get hit when it seems like you shouldn't. Otherwise, teleportation with a weapon is always helpful :D

So this brings up an interesting question. I'm noticing that I do a lot more damage per hit in survival. Is this because the damage output is higher, or the NPC hit points are lower?

I'm asking because it brings up the subject of additional damage weapons, like the bleeding damage of Pickman's Blade.

If the NPC hitpoints are lower, then the additional damage becomes far more significant. And with Blitz, you can essentially teleport away from that suicider you just stabbed while he bleeds out

Daryl - your damage dealt increases in SMODE compared to Very Hard: (but enemy damage dealt is highest on SMODE)

So I'm assuming the multiplyier is applied to damage is across the board.

EG: With Pickman's blade, I'm doing 60 points damage with 25 Bleeding damage in Normal

Therefore, with the same stats and perks, I would do 45 points damage with 12.5 Bleeding damage in Survival

that's correct I think. game mechanics/numbers aren't my specialty. One other note - there are adrenalie boosts for consecutive kills without sleeping in SMODE that aren't in other modes. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Adrenaline Not amazing but notable.

Yeah Vargr is still breathing but I recently got Skyrim SE for my PS4 so ya know....  Currently Vargr is gearing up for the push to Virgil's cave now that I have Verti-bird access.  In all my Normal mode playthru's the Glowing Sea has seen me die everytime, so I'm going in prepared.  My biggest bane are the Radscorpions with thier burrowing teleport magic.  Will probably attempt it this weekend...if i can tear myself away from Skyrim and all those shiny mods.
