Figured I would help out if I could by just posting some of the lower level tier perks I found most useful for survival if that helps anyone....

Demolitions Expert 1 (no level) and 2 (level 10)- explosives are just as deadly to enemies as you, they are one of the best ways to kill any strong enemies or bosses on survival. Just stay back from the blast!

Leadbelly (maxes at 17)- Yes you can get purified water and cooked food but the ability to literally consume things around you as you find them and not worry about keeping 20/25+ pounds of precious carry weight is really nice for more ammunition, explosives, secondary weapons, etc.

Lone Wanderer 1 and 2 (no level and 17)- Yeah just amazing, get it, we all know why.

Chemist (no level)- make antiboitics, etc.!

Sneak 3 (level 12)- I think everyone understands the bane that is mines on survival, never worry again if you can survival up till level 12.

Ninja 1 (no level)- Even if you don't play a sneak build in survival getting the most powerful enemy in a group or location down on your first shot is great. Snipe out the fatman/missle/legendary guy with that ranged sneak (maybe crit) to help level the playing field before you charge in.

Aquaboy (no level)- If you get south at all this is great for not only travel and not using up all your radaway/rad x, or having heavy rads just as you get to shore and that mirelurk pops up and one shots you but also can mean you can use waterways as mostly safe cooridors to travel around and to locations that otherwise would force you to go on land as FO4 doesn't have any water enemies.

Im sure there are more but thats a few that came to mind I figured I would share. Good luck everyone!

I seem to avoid molotvs by keeping my distance and moving constantly. In my experience, raiders use molotovs pretty intelligently to flush your ass out of wherever you've taken cover. For the Concord fight, if you've picked up the two guaranteed frags from the Sanctuary mailbox, your can toss one down on top of Gristle and his allies. Bounce it right behind those sandbags on the right and chunks will rain.

I also have a suggestion related to molotovs. Don't use them yourself. From personal experience I have found that they are the easiest explosive to kill yourself with, mainly because they explode on impact so if you hit something you didn't intend to (Such as what you are using for cover) then you're screwed, where as if you were using a grenade you have a chance to run for your life.

A couple survivor's stories would very much fit into the new fallout character building event starting next week. Stay alive people!

I made it! woohoo!!! Full disclosure I've added a scoped combat rifle to General's Chao's sword. Creating bottlenecks and picking them off with the rifle really helped. It wasn't too bad. And the Grape Mentats worked to get away from Skinny.

Sigh...well I had high hopes of at least dying at the hands of a courser...maybe even a deathclaw on the way to see Virgil...but no.

After returning to Nick and starting Dangerous Minds, I decided to swing by the car junk yard east of DC, hoping I could get lucky on a Legendary drop from the pack of mongrels there. Sure enough, a Legendary Vicious Mongrel and his buds were in there so I started lobbing mollys and picking the off with my rifle. No problem. All dead.

So I go to check the legendary drop and...a truck on fire that hadn't yet exploded goes off and takes my leg with it.

    Name: Daryl

    DOB: 4/16/17

Class Tag: Melee (since there's no crossbows...)

    Difficulty Level: Survival

    Level Attained: 15

    DoD: 4/22/17

Cause of Death: Legendary Looting Car Bomb

Now what do I do? Cry. That's what.

Man, that's a really tough death. Poor Daryl.
