This is perfect! I'm working on a build that centers around the Ebony Blade, but I found myself getting wailed on even by lowlifes in the Ratways when I first got it--started dumping points into enchanting to buff my character, but it really didn't feel right. I read this and immediately got one of the MFD shouts and tested it by clearing out the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary to feed the blade--it's definitely a game-changer.
I'm scrapping the build and revamping it with MFD in conjunction with the blade... it's going to be a blast to play now.
Thanks for your work and testing.
(I'm also looking forward to your unarmed build)

Do you have any idea if the Bladesman series of perks will be more viable with this shout? I ask because as we know the Bladesman perk only works off of the base damage of the weapon, which is a fraction of total damage at high levels. Nothing modifies these numbers, so even if you're doing 300 damage per hit "normally", a critical hit would still only do an additional 3 to 10.5 points of damage.
Would Marked for Death be a unique situation in which the critical damage would actually increase?

MFD is a straight modifier for all phhysical damage. I didn't test it but I would assume (99.9% confident) that it will boost critical damage; It doesn't boost bonebreaker and bleed damage because they are not counted as physical damage.
