Greetings dwellers, and welcome to the first event featuring Fallout here on the Vault!
For this first step, we will be asking you to help us with something of great significance that will pave the way for better organization and, as a direct consequence, better promotion of the work our fellow dwellers (that includes you!) make for the Fallout Hub, specifically our Lore section.
Do you know about The Elder Scrolls Lore Group’s Archives? It’s a simple page that greatly helps and incentives the pursue of knowledge on all things lore-y, facilitating navigation by newcomers and veterans alike and giving us the opportunity to read great articles that date back to the early days of the site. Most importantly, the Archives act as a shortcut to the fountains of recorded knowledge that will quench your thirst for information, and even help the lore researchers to build their own pieces, to be added to the Vault’s vast library.
Currently, the Fallout Hub has a small library of lore articles, but even now, at these early stages, we already have forgotten lore articles buried under post after post. But the solution for that is a simple one, and for it to become real, we need your help building the Fallout Lore Database!
What is this event all about?
It’s about getting the contenders to make seven banners for the Fallout Lore Database, following a few basic rules and tips:
For reference, you should use the Elder Scrolls Lore Archives.
Naturally, the theme for the Fallout Lore Database is Fallout, and not Elder Scrolls or any other setting. You can use everything you want from a rugged and torn flag of the U.S Commonwealth (not the actual flag of the U.S) to a more tech-theme, based on the classic Fallout terminals, for example. Whatever you fancy, really, but it has to be related to Fallout.
We don’t want seven identical banners, but you can keep a theme for each banner if you want. Once more, use the Elder Scrolls Lore Archives for reference.
The seven banners are the seven categories established on our Fallout Lore Rules:
Historical Events
Historical Characters
Science
Creatures
Technology
Factions and Groups
General Discussion
You can stylize each category to match your banners if you want to (for example, “Creatures of the Wasteland” or “Science Division”) but we ask you not to stray too far from the established ones. We wouldn’t want to have an awesome banner only to have the category be something completely off with the already existing ones.
How will the winner be chosen?
Your entry to the contest will be judged by Golden Fool, the host of the Art Group, by ProbsCoolerThanYou and Mr. Edd, hosts of the Fallout Hub.
When will I be able to send my banners? To whom should I send it? What’s the deadline?
You can send your banners right away! Of course, you have to make them first. You will be able to submit your work to us from today, December 1st, to two weeks from now, on the 15th. You can send them to fallouthubevents@gmail.com or to either Golden, Probs or myself through the site's message system, located in the top right corner.
What will I win?
The Fallout lore Archives page and your work will be displayed on the main page for a week and, most importantly, you will win an exclusive and fancy badge informing all students of the craft that you are a “Scribe of Art” of the Vault, in homage to the Brotherhood of Steel Division.
Thank you for your attention, and I’m eager to see what you have in store for the Database!

Not sure if I have to announce here that I'm going to participate, but you can definitely look forward to some entries from me, even though I don't usually do anything in the Fallout part of the site(which is a shame, because I love the games).

@Blooded Glad to hear you're on board. You're allowed to submit as many entries as you want to. Who are we to discourage creativity? ;)
@Motty I'll get back to you soon!
