Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow purveyors of Classics, welcome!
If you had been following the discussion on the next classics event earlier, you would have had a good idea regarding what sort of event would be coming up next (alternatively, you could just look at the title of the discussion :P)
Since the last event was so successful, we decided we’d host another one. And so it is that we present to you Character Building Event: Knights!
As of 15th of February Event is closed.
So, what are the limitations on this event? That’s up to you! How do you define a knight? As an example, see the following (our definition which we came up with together):
"The Knight is the most skilled of all combatants. Knights are strong in body but not necessarily strong in character, are often well schooled in the art of chivalry, and usually tend to conduct themselves in an honourable fashion. Knights are adept at the utilization of most weapons, can wear many types of armor, and typically utilize shields. Some Knights may choose to learn magic so as to enhance their ability to protect - or attack, as the case may be. Most knights will devote themselves to a deity, a lord or a cause.”
You must make a character build with at least one combat skill listed as a major skill. In addition to this, participants must include their own definition of a knight within the build itself.
The Knight can be from an order of your own creation (or from another universe), an order within the TES Universe, or could even be a lone wolf.
Entries must be submitted between the 8th and 15th of February and must be tagged “Event:Knights”. Entries must always have the Event Build:_____ title as opposed to the usual <Game> Character Build:_____
Comment below to say which Knightly Order you will be creating (or you could leave it as a surprise). Alternatively, PM Karver or I if you wish to keep your participation a secret.
Current Participants:
Kael - To be confirmed (Oblivion)
Karver - The Knight of Orsinium (Oblivion)
Golden Fool - The Errant Knight (Oblivion)
Mitch - The Mystic Knight (Oblivion)
Chris Diokno - The Knight-Commander (Oblivion)
Chris H. - Runic Knight (Oblivion)
Mirric - Daedric Knight (Oblivion)
Pau-lius - To be confirmed (Morrowind)

Unfortunately, I'll sign out straight away (even though I do owe you a bit still Karver), I'll be heading out on holidays during mid January and won't have time to play either afterwards (school starts back up along with other boring life things)
I might team up for a collab where I could do Art/Roleplay-Backstory if someone else does the Playtesting but not 100% sure if I'll have time

I was thinking more of an Errant Knight (there's a play on words there), but I think I can make a Barrel Knight work
Yeah Oblivion, totally forgot that.

The usual term is Knight-errant, which is a knight who wanders around searching for places in which to do knightly things like slay the dragon or save the damsel.
But another meaning for Errant is to err from the accepted standards, so an Errant Knight would act in ways that you wouldn't expect a knight to act, his moral compass may be a little grey or even black. Or his skills may not be wholly that of a noble fighter.
