Is the lifespan of a Dunmer long enough so that one of my Morrowind characters could be alive during the events of Skyrim?

Yupp, they can live that long. Don't expect them to be a badass though. Unless they maintained their mortality via Restoration. Then they could be a badass.

Ok thanks for the info. He was a thief/agent so he wouldn't have used restoration.

I actually had a couple questions.

1 - My prologue takes place during the Oblivion crisis. Is it alright to post that?

2 - If someone goes into an Oblivion gate and the gate ends up closed is it possible to reopen it or for the Daedric Prince to reopen it?

    1. I'd say so. That's fine.

    2. Yes, I believe it is. It was established in the Greg Keyes novels that old Oblivion gates could be reopened with proper magic. This was in Tamriel, though. I'm not sure if they could be reopened inside a realm of oblivion.

Still, I imagine it'd be fine.

Is it possible for someone to use Dwemer tech to build a sort of train like device that moves through a tunnel/pipe under water?

I don't want to just slap on the 'its Dwemer anythings possible' excuse, I'm looking for any lore that says something similar has happened before?

If not has anyone got any suggestions on a way i could make someone cross a large expanse of extremely thin ice very quickly?

Well, they have steam, and they had engineering, so making a locomotive could be possible.
