yes you do, but you can also get the armor from revered or legendary dragons at lvls 45-49. I'll add some additional notes if this information is absolutely necessary.

Hey awesome looking build. I am curious though; why did you take 5/5 shield wall and Shield Charge? These perks require a shield to be used. They have absolutely no effect with two-handed weapons. I didn't see a swap for a shield so it sparked my curiosity.
Block Runner does work with a two-handed however, but you'd have to invest into more worthless (for a two-hander) perks.

The Dragoon legendary build inspired this one slightly. When I tested my build out, I confirmed the author was correct and shield charge does work with two handed weapons. might be a glitch but an awesome glitch. As for shield wall. 40% increase of block, with the block enchantments on items you get another 40% which leads to the block cap of 80%. More survivability overall when getting close to armor cap with daedric armor.

Interesting...in all my research (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Block) this seems not to be the case; Shield Wall does not increase block chance unless a shield is equipped. Likewise, Shield Charge doesn't work unless a shield is equipped.
Additionally, "Block Enchantments" ONLY effect Shields, not blocking with a weapon. Basically the rule of thumb is if it says "Shield" it requires a "Shield" to work.
However, if what you say is true and there is a glitch (in regards to Shield Charge), I may need to add it to my own two-handed builds. In fact, UESP does say there is a bug to this effect. So you're right there! Proof
I will definitely have to test this myself. In any case, this may be my biggest gripe with Skyrim - between tooltips and documentation - nothing is as it seems lol!
