I fought I would contribute a more serious poem as opposed to the other one I posted here, it went a bit dark so you have been warned.
The rising full moon a portent of my doom
It's light awakening the beast within
Restless to be released to the hunt
Its hunger increasing with the moon's rise
Who will it be this time who meets their demise
Strengthened by the moon's light the beast began to emerge
My body twisting and contorting as it fought to break free of its cage
The beast breaking through my skin as it escaped
Free at last the beast howled out its victory
Free to hunt with me caged inside in misery
The best smelled prey beginning the hunt
It stalked its prey from the shadows waiting to strike
Jumping from the shadows when it could wait not longer
The beast saw only its dinner
From my cage inside I saw my sister
With the moon's retreating light the beast began to weaken
Its body twisting and contorting as it fought to remain free
My body returning to me as it was forced back to its cage
Chained to my knowledge the beast
I was not free but bound forever in horror
