Um, didn't know the VL tactics were still on there, I removed any other ties to vampirism in the build but missed that. xD

    Will sort that now.

The VL could be a rip-off from the vampires in Van Helsing, but Underworld 2 seems more convincing.

You removed Conjuration, good decision. :) You may want to remove the 'Decoy' tactic then.

Aha, you did get rid of vampirism! I like this build a lot more now, the roleplay and gameplay seem I go together much better then before. If I may ask, how essential is enchanting to the character? His main weapons are already enchanted, and it would be easy to find fully enchanted armor and gear as well.

Yo, just an fyi for obtaining bolts, i do believe you can forge them, (not sure) but the easiest way is to simply jump into some darwven ruins and pluck some dwarven bolts off some robot's corpes (pirates stealing from robots...what is this world coming too!)

Id say also drop conjuration totally, unless you wanted to go in all the way, make some sort of bound sword wielding mage pirate conjuring of zombie soldiers and demons to fight.

overall, fun little build idea here, give this baby a makeover with some new quests and gameplay and it could be a winner :)

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. I keep overlooking things!

Hmm... I think I'll leave Enchanting in as a minor skill, as the character's mother enchanted merchandise for a better price, so the character can do that too (whilst enchanting good amulets and rings for themselves) - Unless you think another skill might be more useful, like alchemy?

As for the bolts, I originally made the character as a vampire because during the quest Destroying the Dawnguard I heard that you could calm Sorine Jurard (that's another place Voice of the Emperor comes in useful) and do quests for her, meaning I could learn how to craft steel bolts, if not dwarven bolts. I haven't tested this yet, and I recently went back to an earlier save to join the Dawnguard instead now I've changed the build.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll put in a quest section - should I do this or a 'paths' section (i.e. Stormcloaks or Imperials, Dawnguard or Vampires, general decisions)?

The way I understand it, if you calm Sorine/Gunmar, you can buy stuff from them, including crossbow bolts. Don't think quests will work though. Either way, I wouldn't bother with trying to have both crossbows and the Vampire Lord transformation; just stick with one or the other. That being said, since you plan on sticking with crossbows, I'd edit the corresponding section (at present, it says that "the Marauder embraces Harkon's gift" when it's been removed from the build).

As far as quests go, I'd just list some recommended quests, ones that would make sense for the Marauder to do (general decisions, basically). Don't think I've ever heard of anyone being inspired by one of my builds before though, that's cool to hear!

I originally was playing a scout-ish crossbowman, but I saw your build and liked the dual-scimitar pirate idea.
