If we're recreating an NPC...does that mean the skyrim time-space continuum is altered forever if we have our character meet their NPC?

Back to the Future thoughts... :)

Oh, I've already got a fix for when I bump into Faendal!

lol yeah Shin...I can see it now "greeting brother elf....wait what are you doing? Why are you pointing that bow at me noooooo."

Hehe, all I have to say is poor Uthgerd. :D She has a nice house too.

Hmmm, I like the cut of your jib, sir xD

Let's just say that I'm going to explain why a Bosmer thief works a steady 9 to 5 at the mill and refuses to steal anything for you as a follower (seriously Bethesda, what kind of crummy thief does all that?)

Just wanted to my little MC Host pitching here. Both Gnewna and I have posted our Modder's Logs over in the Modder's Conclave (and it looks like we're going with different styles as well which is awesome for showing off what can be done with the Event :D) and I see that we've got a number of people aiming to post them. I'd like to recommend that anyone starting one begins it as they start playing the character. I ended up having to end one because I started writing at Level 9 and it can be really hard to catch up if you play at a decent pace. Anyway, hoping to see a few more in the next few days because the characters I've seen (both as builds and logs) have all been really great.

I'll throw in the reminder that I'm always here to chat about your content, especially for anyone who's posting their first Build or Log, always got time to at elast talk about your ideas and send you places (I'm good at linking things :P). Loving the Event so far and eager to see what else we'll get

I made a slight adjustment to the wording of a rule for Modder's Logs that kind of made it seem like we were restricting them to be 'in-character' only (or can really easily be taken that way. The new wording is

Furthermore the log should be written with a focus on your NPC follower, this can mean either it being their voice or just consistant mentionings of who they are (starting each line with "And Sven (who sucks) did so and so" would totally count).

    instead of

Furthermore the log should be written in the voice of an NPC follower...

The change is slight, and is just meant to clarify that you've got a lot of freedom with Logs and that you don't have to feel confined to the in-character formatting, you can focus on RP, Backstory, Gameplay, just jotting notes down or whatever it is that you'd like with a Log it just has to have a focus on the NPC Follower that can be easily identifiable by just abotu anyone who comes along.

Regarding Option 1: Does this option prohibit the use of any mods at all to qualify, or can we use other mods that are not overhauls as long as they are not cheats?

Man, yeah, I have a bunch of catching up to do already, and I started right at the start. IDK if you've seen my actual story blog thinger, it started off on Steam as the 'Abridged Journals of Nerussa, the Last Dragonborn'. By the time I started posting here, it had become obvious these journals were anything but abridged... I'm gonna have to abridge the crap out of Serana's log, though, or I'll never get through it.

Okay. So I'm a bit new to the modder's log concept. I've been digging around and have noticed that most of the ones I've read are in installments... write a bit, folks comment, write a bit more, folks comment a bit more, etc. This breaks it up and gives readers an opportunity to participate as things progress and advance--all of which I can appreciate.

My question is: would it be considered gauche to post it all in one completed product? In other words, write, save, write, save, write, save, finish... POST. I know I'm at a bit of a disadvantage in that I'm not getting any feedback, but confound it, I just hate posting stuff till I'm done! xD

In the interest of doing a project closer to the event concept, put me down for Adelaisa Vendicci, the Imperial representatitive of the East Empire Company in Windhelm. I will also use the Wildcat mod and do a Modder's Log. Adelaisa's skills are Enchanting, Alchemy, Smithing, One-handed, Sneak, Speech, Archery and Light Armor, but as she is depicted as wearing Heavy Armor in the game I would like to use that in place of LA. Let me know if that's cool!

    @ Dallan

Im fine with Option One just meaning "No Overhauls" instead of Vanilla I suppose, doesn't make much of a difference either way. As for Adelaisa...my immediete thought is no, not as a perked skill however I noticed that the Unofficial Patch turns her into the CombatWarrrior1H class which has One-Handed, Block, Archery and Heavy Armour. Which is a hugely different skill set, so my ruling there would most likely be that you can use either her Vanilla skillset (which includes all the crafting skills, Sneak, Speech and Light Armour) or the CombatWarrior 1H class but not a mix.

Sorry mate, I just don't think that the Heavy Armour is a large enough part of her character to justify splicing the rules as it were. I dunno, I'm half tempted to talk to Vargr and see if we can't add a rule allowing people to change a single skill on their character for RP reasons (like giving your character HA instead of LA). I just might, because this isn't the first character that's been twisted slightly by adding another skill to the character that just fits really well.

In other words, yes to the mods and possibly to the class change but let me talk to Vargr first.
