I just wanted to comment that I am playing this build and just LOVE it. I have fallen in love with this character. It is so much fun, more than I thought it would be. I have restricted myself like you suggested and it makes all the difference. I feel like a real ranger. I don't smith unless I find the materials in the wild...great stuff. I already liked it but if I could I would like it again. Loving this build.

I have read those books too and so did my brother. "The Ranger's Apprentice" and "The Inheritance Cycle" introduced me to the massive fantasy genre in literature. From these books I started reading "The Sword of Truth series", books from Robin Hobb and more.
I am glad you like it :D

Wearing just leather armour does present some interesting challenges. For one combat has to be over quickly, because your survivabillity is not very high without enchantments. Resist potions offer some protection, especially with sufficiently high alchemy skills, but you still want to kill as quickly as possible. I found divide and distraction work well for me; a follower to draw in the enemy (or throw voice, as long as you are undetected) and a picking off enemies as they go fight my follower or they echo of my voice. Buys time to reduce the numbers against you.
I also decided to go with the Krosis mask and ebony bow / daggers. The Krosis mask offers decent armour protection in addition to 20% achery, alchemy and lockpicking. The ebony weapons are harder to obtain, but they look the part and they pack one hell of a punch!
The Altmer believe themselves to be superior in every way to Bosmer (and everyone else), which extends to their armour and weapons. Elven and glass are good but also complex to craft; ebony is stronger and straightforward. Like the Bosmer. :-)

Many thanks to all the people who liked the build! I never thought the Valenwood Ranger would get Legendary status as it was my very first build!
Thank you all!

Im trying to find out how to be loyal to the Green Pact, but its impossible, you dont mention the worst one there, the one that make bosmers eat their foes, entirely. I just cant eat all my enemys...

Every Bosmer chooses how to follow the Green Pact on their own way. One thing they all do is avoid using plant materials. Not all Bosmer choose to eat their vanquished foes. The biggest and most important rule is avoiding eating plant food and using plant materials for Alchemy.
