Tamriel Vault Podcast

    Greetings Tamriel Vault people!

A few people over recent times have mentioned the idea of having a Tamriel Vault podcast. It has been talked about amongst the hosts in The Elder Council and we are basically in favour of the idea

So this is a thread to discuss and take this idea forward.

What we want to see here are

    1. Suggestions for what sort of things you'd like to see in the podcast

    2. Practical stuff like how often? how long? what format?

    3. Offers of help for the various 'roles' that would need to be filled to make this happen

This is a chance for lots of people - not just hosts (although obviously hosts as well!) to get in on the ground level of a brand new initiative that could really help and build up the Vault

Let's be hearing from you all ...

    1. Discussing things from various groups across the site i guess but thats pretty obvious. 2. I guess it should be weekly for Maybe an hour or two? I dont know about the format. 3. I could help with Classics and some of the Fallout groups.

I'm in the podcast space a bit and I can say that any successful pod must be done consistently. That's the biggest thing. Whether it's weekly or every other, it has to be put out the same day, same time consistently for a long time for it to gain traction. If assistance is needed, I could probably consult on the audio editing / production side of things.

    1) Lore, please! Or character-build advice, or even discussing roleplaying tips

    2) I'm going to say 15-20 minutes long, especially since these podcasts are just starting out. Keeping them short, concise and consistent sounds like a good formula for success!

    3) Not sure how I could help, but if I think of anything I will let you guys knows. =)

I completely agree with this. Consistency is really key here. We had discussed maybe once a month to start, because we wanted to make sure we had enough content to discuss. And see how it would do.

And thanks for the offer to assist, Motty. Very much appreciated, and I will definitely make note of that.

    I definitely agree with

    1. Regular

    2. Short

A well-focussed and well-produced monthly podcast that's 20 minutes long is more likely to be listened to than some sporadic ramble that goes on for two hours

Gotta to be honest... I thought this would get more input...

I thought this was what a lot of people had been asking for?

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised by this as well.
