RIP Gwendolyn at level 4. Although I'm sad she's dead so soon, I can't help but laugh at the way she kicked the bucket. There she was, walking around the tundras of Whiterun and minding her own business when suddenly the ground began to shake like it does when you're near mammoths. She looked about to see the culprit but there was none - until a flying mammoth appeared out of nowhere and landed on top of her. She was crushed to death by a falling mammoth! :D This has got to be one of the weirdest deaths my characters have ever faced lol
I'll try again, one more time. I want to reach level 10 at least once! :D This time I think I'll go with a Bosmer, sort of an arcane archer type of character. Bound weapons, illusion spells and sneaking all around! ^^ That's closer to the playstyle I'm used to so I'd expect to survive a little longer... I hope.

A mere level 9? That's better then I've ever managed. In fact the Nord I decided to play made it all of 10 minutes after a character creation to be killed by the mages that gaurd the bound bow book.

I've decided on my next character (hopefully this one gets past level 2), an Orc with a focus on Illusion, Alteration, Conjuration and Speech. She will weild a mighty bound battle axe and hopefully tame a sabre cat. Also because of the passive racial abilities mod as an Orc she will have these traits:
Orcish Craftsmanship: Tempering is 50% more effective.
Berserkers Rage: Power attacks are 50% stronger. Resist 10% of all damage.
Elven Blood: Magicka regenerates 50% faster.

RIP, Gwendolyn! That's really bad luck! I have avoided the Lover's Stone (with Andromeda, you get a free [and sometimes glitched] "resurrection" every 15 minutes), as I think it removes part of the challenge. However, I would recommend it to people having issues with freakish (falling and hitting a rock in a pool of water, raining mammoths, etc.) deaths. If I get my current character, a blind Bosmer wildmage named Eliras, past 15, I might switch over and grab it. I just need to get some defensive enchantments before venturing outside of Whiterun Hold.

I've created my own exception to the permadeath rule, where the first instance of a character dying at level one is ignored, because I've had too many that have done that after I spent way too long in character creation.
As for my latest character, Akash started in Dushnikh Yal with a full set of Orcish armour (which she sold in Markarth). While in Markarth she met Eola and found herself assisting the Namira worshiper.
As she watched Brother Verulus calmly walk towards the alter, Akash could not help but think 'Is this my hunger own or has Eola done something to me as well?'. Looking over at the Breton she realised that her memory of meeting Eola was fuzzy, almost as if it had been tampered with. At this realisation panic started to rise within her, 'This is not right, I need to get out of here'. Just as she was about to turn and run Eola spoke, "The meal is on Namira's table. Go ahead. Carve." Eola's words washed over her, pushing her panic aside. 'What had I been doing? ...Oh right, carving the feast.'
Now Namira's champion, Akash asked Eola to travel with her and so far they have successfully cleared kolskeggr mine. Hopefully she survives longer then my other characters.

Sorry, Raikage! If you're interested, there is a mod called VioLens that can be configured to disable killcams (with multiple options). I happen to use it to keep the "armor bypass" bug from killing my characters. I also get annoyed when my killcam would fire off, though my foe wouldn't actually die.
I am impressed that you got to level 25! That's amazing! I just shelved my Bosmer (who is still alive) at level 7 to roll a new character idea that popped into my mind.
