My simplest build yet. The Eternal Flame perks just 2 skills and maxes out at level 25. Master difficulty is no problem at all so you might want to play on Legendary if you're looking for a challenge.

    The Eternal Flame

    Introduction

No one could possibly have suspected that behind the gentle eyes of this quiet and unassuming priestess lay a dark secret. A horror of such immense, raw, destructive power it could easily be the stuff of legend and fairy tales.

Race: Any (I went with a Breton female to fit the roleplay)
    Stat Spread: All Magicka
    Stone: The Apprentice
    Blessing: Talos
    Perked Skills: Destruction and Alchemy
    Weapons: None
Spells: Flames, Firebolt, Fire Cloak and Fire Storm
Gear: Circlet of Major Destruction, Ring of Eminent Destruction, Amulet of Talos, Red Robes.

    Required Quests:
    The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller
    The Only Cure
    Destruction Ritual Spell

    The Build

The Eternal Flame uses Alchemy to turn the Become Ethereal shout into a near-permanent state of invulnerability, while simultaneously turning the passive Flame Cloak into a devastating weapon. And as a final endgame feat, she twists her own body into an eruption of pure flame to incinerate what's left of her already charred and dying enemies.

    Potions

The Focus of Serenity (Fortify Restoration) - Any combination of Abecean Longfin + Cyrodilic Spadetail + Salt Pile

Use:  Drink before equipping the Amulet of Talos, Fortify Destruction items, or activating the Talos Shrine or the Apprentice Stone, to reduce shout cooldown, reduce spell cost, and increase magicka regeneration, respectively.

The Harmony of the Mind (Fortify Magicka) - Red Mountain Flower + Tundra Cotton

Use: Drink whenever a spell is beyond your natural abilities.

The Rage from Within (Fortify Destruction) - Glowing Mushroom + Nightshade

Use: Drink before activating any destruction spell to multiply its power.

    Gameplay

Combat is extremely simple. Pop a Destruction potion, cast Flame Cloak, activate Become Ethereal, and run right into the thick of it. When Become Ethereal is about to run out, charge up Fire Storm for a final blast of death. If your enemies aren't all dead, no problem, just active Become Ethereal again and watch as they burn to a crisp.

    Gameplay Demo Video

    Roleplay

I played as a quiet and gentle priestess who has a violent rage hidden within. When threatened she had the terrifying reaction of exploding into flame!

The perk spread looks so... empty, it feels so... wrong.

    Embrace the emptiness :D

This is pretty awesome and shows that even such a concise build as this can be successful with a great plan. I would love to see more low skill build concepts!

Quick! Someone make a build only, perking one skillz!

It can definitely be done with Alchemy alone, if you don't mind using the Restoration loop glitch. With it you could turn the simple Flames spell into a kill-everything-not-immune weapon. Or you could brew up a smithing potion that would make the humblest iron dagger or long bow do unholy amounts of damage.

YES bring on the builds of simplicity! :) As much as I like the concept behind a lot of intricate builds, I find them awkward to play if you have to juggle too many spells, potions, weapons and abilities.

Beautifully presented, with a simple and strong skill set. Good work!

    Awesome idea!

Though I assume you haven't gone to Solstheim with her? Burnt Spriggans are immune to fire, Ash Spawn has 75% resistance. Speaking of resistant enemies, how about Flame Atronachs? How do you deal with them?

If the Atronach is summoned, just ignore it and kill the conjurer. For Ash Spawn, since they are only resistant, not immune, you can still kill them the same way it will just take longer.

But for permanent Flame Atronachs and Burnt Spriggans there are really only 2 options I can think of: 1) Ignore them and run past. or 2) 'cheat' a little a use Frost or Shock Cloak.

If you have any thoughts on a more elegant way of dealing with enemies who are immune to fire, please share them! I've worked on this build for months and never came up with anything.
