"Infected by an unknown disease, the Hunter travelled across Skyrim in pursuit of medical remedy, he aimed to reach Whiterun, as it holds the well known healing clinic, the Temple of Kynareth. While travelling through the woods near Windhelm, he seeked shelter for the night in a small cabin with one resident, Iosefka. She introduced herself as a healer and offered blood transfusion to the Hunter. As he was desperate for a cure, he accepted the offer. Later, after having several nightmares throughout the transfusion, he woke up at the cabin and found himself alone in there. He stepped out to the woods with a voice in his head telling him to punish every beast and undead he will encounter on his travels. After wondering helplessly for hours Hunter encountered a group of Imperial soldiers looking for Stormcloak rebels, they mistook him for one and sent him on a one way trip to Helgen..."

Welcome to my build inspired by the new action RPG title Bloodborne. I tried my best to transfer the gameplay of this game into Skyrim while keeping the most important parts in there and also being respectful to the Skyrim lore. When I first saw trailers for the game and some artworks of the protagonist and his armor, weapons immediately caught my attention, the release of the game was the impulse for me to start doing this build.

You are a Hunter, member of ancient community dedicated to destroying all the plagued and undead from the world of the living. But bear in mind that you are not some kind of holy warior, neither a hero, such values mean nothing to you anymore. You understand that the world is not black or white and you are sick of pretending to be a knight riding around in shiny white armor.

As you will see from Skills taken, I aimed to deliver a Bloodborne weapon setup, which involves carrying a one handed sword/axe/cane(Yes, cane) and a pistol in the other hand. I though a lot about how to make a pistol into Skyrim and came to a conclusion that Destruction Fire Bolt will be the closest thing to that.

Keep in mind that your pistol/fire bolt is there just for poking and damaging enemies in the distance, you deal 80% of your damage through your weapon. Later in the game, at around the 30 level mark you will be starting to use the torch a lot. Alchemy and Speech are there just so you can buy and make a ton of potions, as Bloodborne’s Blood Vials, which are your only health option.

As Bloodborne's Hunters are addicted to Yharnam's blood and they use it to fuel their madness hunts for beasts, I used Vampirism in Skyrim to replicate this(suggested by Leon Faremyr Friberg), you will always be hungry for more blood and you will need to find victims from which you can extract your precious blood to keep yourself mentally and physically able to deal with Skyrim's lunatics.

You may notice that the build seems rather week from some perspective. Bloodborne is made by From Software, the guys who are responsible for some of the hardest action RPGs of the latest decade, Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls. In Bloodborne you have to move and dodge your enemy a lot, otherwise he will kill you in 3-4 hits. Knowing this I tried to made the build weak to damage, especially in the first  twenty or so levels.

    Race: Nord (Vampire)

    Stone: Warrior –> Lord

Shouts: Become Ethereal, Dragon Aspect, Elemental Fury, Unrelenting Force

Major Skills: One-Handed, Destruction, Light Armor

    Minor Skills: Block, Speech, Alchemy

Stat spread: 1/1/1 (Get Magicka to 200, then stop putting points in it)

    LEVEL 20

     LEVEL 40

     Tier I armor(1-20 level)

Head: Novice Hood - Can be obtained right in Helgen's dungeons and is usable for casting flames, also looks like Bloodborne's starting hood.

Torso: Hammerfell Garb – Most normal looking clothes I found while I was looking for a starting armor that doesn‘t look like something from the Cloud District.

Hands: Imperial Light Bracers – Nothing strange here, can be obtained in Helgen and look like Hunter’s starting bracers.

Shoes: Imperial Light Boots – They go well with Hammerfell’s armor and are easy to get.

Ring: Ring of Namira – Additional stamina is great for a starting sword user, this will also help you understand the fine line between hunting beasts and becoming one of them, NEVER FEED ON CORPSES!

Neck: Amulet of Arkay – Additonal Health is always usable, the amulet also helps create the blood atmosphere.

When you reach level 15, you can start looking for the pieces you will need for TII.

    Tier II armor(Level 20)

Head: Masque of Clavicuc Vile – 20% better prices are good for your hunt for potions, also the great look of this masque is sure to scare any annoying bard wanting to sing about your victories away.

Torso: Nightingale Armor – Looks very Demon Hunterish and very similar to the Hunter’s main armor in Bloodborne, additional stamina is great for power attacks and resistance to frost is good when you have only light armor.

Hands: Vampire Gauntlets – A trophy from your favourite foes, they look great and add the dark look we want to get from the Tier II gear.

Shoes: Nightingale Boots – Even though the sneaking buff they give is pretty useless for us, they are a nice addition to the Hunter’s look.

Neck: Amuler of Arkay – We don’t want to upgrade this one yet so keep it.

Ring: Ring of Namira – Again, no reason to trade one of the best rings in the game.

When you feel comfortable you can quest Forbidden Legend to get Gauldur Amulet.

Falmer War Axe: Looks very similar to Bloodborne's signature weapon, Saw Cleaver. Use it up to level 30.

Windshear: One of the best unique swords in the game, the chance of knocking down enemies is great for this build, when you encounter stronger opponents.

In Bloodborne the Hunter has the ability to teleport from the madness of Yharnam into a dream place, Hunter’s Dream. In there are no enemies and Hunter can rest and buy new gear, level up.

In Skyrim there are many places you can buy, the best looking place to build your own Hunter's Dream is in my opinion on the Pale, The Heljarchen Hall.

There are no restrictions here, have the house you will like to get back from your travels.

Hunter spends most of his time wandering through Skyrim looking for dungeons to clean, you should always be looking for town’s problems connected to nightmares and undead, as you have the urge to punish every beast you encounter.

From Helgen go take the Warrior stone and then clean surrounding bandit hideouts, then travel to Dawnstar and search the Frostflow Lighthouse to get your Hammerfell outift and Falmer War Axe. From than on you can start cleaning undead dungeons throughout Skyrim, start the Thieves Guild questline when you want to get the Nightingale armor at around level 20.

    Combat:

Hunter doesn’t fear anything so he charges straight to enemies shooting his fire bolts at them, when near them, he moves around as not to get hit by their power attacks, when he dodges them he responds with his own while continuing to move around his foes. When wondering through dark crypts, Hunter often switches his pistol for a torch, thing you can do in Skyrim as well. On later levels when you start putting your perks into Block you can start using Torch more offensively and bash with it, just switch to it when you run out of magicka.

The combat on this build is pretty straighforward, the main emphasis being on the ability to not get hit by enemies. As you have limited range, I urge you to deal with mages and archers first.

    Roleplay:

In Bloodborne the protagonist never talks so it’s hard to find a roleplay route this chracter would take in Skyrim. As mentioned earlier, you are not some holy paladin, as so you are not restricted to being a champion of light. Demon Hunter’s life is expensive, so you are always looking for more cash to spend on your gear. You have no problems dealing with bandits in order to enhance your mansion, hell even killing regular people is not going to get you depressed.

That being sad you are no asshole. You still help people and your main goal should remain to protect the world of living from all abominations and beasts wandering Skyrim’s crypts. You are purpose driven and won’t stop at nothing to destroy every beast you encounter.

    Recommended Quests:

Thieves Guild, Dawnguard, The Dark Brotherhood(To Improve the art of murder), Waking Nightmare, Laid to Rest and more undead killing quets.

Thanks for reading through my build, I hope that I did not waste your precious time and that you enjoyed the presentation of this build and hopefully you will try it in-game.

    Peace !

Your tags are a bit messed up. Also, did you send this to the workshop? If you didn't, please do. They'll help with this build. Also, while its based off of Bloodborne, perhaps you shouldn't actually use the name Bloodborne. Make it fit the Elder Scrolls universe

Why Thieves Guild and DB questlines?

Also for a weapon, I recommend the Falmer Axe It kinda looks like that weird blade he flips out in the trailer

Thanks a lot for the tips, I did not know that something like Workshop existed, I posted my build there. The Falmer Axe is awesome, I never used Falmer weapons so I did not know that something as cool existed, I switched it for Dawnguard Axe which also gives you the opportunity to play Dawnguard later making you free to do only Thieves Guild at 10-20 level.

I didn't play Bloodborne but, aren't firearms a big part of it? Also, I don't see the point of heavy armor, I think  that light armor is perfect and more fitting with the characters, you can perfectly stick with it, no need to change at level 30, so why don't remove heavy armor perks and use a crossbow, or one-handed in combination with a torch to block maybe, could be an interesting and not common strategy, you can also bash to set the enemy on fire and I think you could do something similar in Bloodborne. Just some ideas to improve a little, becouse I like what you did there.

Awesome presentation! You get my +1 for that. I saw that you posted this in the Workshop as well. Would you like me to delete your discussion here so that you can repost it after you get the feedback from the Workshop?

I think Lycanthropy could be something to add, or some more hunter ish weapons (such as dawnguard weapons, the rune hammer or rune axe being very anti-undead esque)

Considering the starting weapon is an axe, I say DG axe

In Bloodborne you fight tons of werewolves, so unfotunately lycantrophy can't be used.

I wanted to get the nightingale armor very soon, as it looks like the Bloodborne's artwork armor, because of that I postponed playing Dawnguard for lvls 25-X and I also switched the Dawnguard Rune Axe for Falmer Axe, as suggested by Nevik Drakel(it looks just like saw cleaver from BB).

You can choose from 3 starting weapons in BB, I wanted to go with something simple to obtain, which will allow you to jump straight into action, so I picked Falmer Axe, which can be obtained from Lighthouse along with Hammerfell outift.
