They don't play that big of a part in it, they mainly serve for poking and stunning enemies so you can use charged attacks.
I agree, that switching to heavy armor seems rather strange, but I wanted to use only unique armors in this build and I struggled to find a good light armor that could potentionally replace the Nightingale armor. Thinking about it now, I was a fool to have 3 tiers of armor on my build, I will just edit the 3rd tier a bit and stick with the light armor.
The poor thing about Skyrim is that you can't use one handed crossbow, so I had to go for Destruction to simulate the pistol into Skyrim. But thinking about blocking with torch seems rather awesome, I will add it into the build, thanks a lot for the tips.

That's correct, but you should be the main protagonist, who did not become one of them and stayed on the bright side.
Even though vampirism is a lot blood related I don't think that drinking blood from sleeping people is somethin we would see in Bloodborne.

I'd say lycanthrophy is when you do turn bad, but normal vampirism in dawnguard (but not vampire lord) can work passively for rp reasons, hunters seek blood for strength, the hunters themselves are practically nocturnal and they go mad if the stave off it for long and the same if the gorge into it.

@Leon You are correct, that vampirism nicely simulates the hunter's addiction for blood in Skyrim. Thinking about it I am liking it more and more, I will add it to the build.

It also works very well with the ring of namira, you could almost use the ring as a means of feeding instead of actual blood drinking.
Oh, and do you have dragonborn?
