Though she is a holy practitioner, there is no single word to describe her that translates from her tongue to ours. She is is the deathwalker, master of the veil, keeper of the gate, shepard of spirits, in her own tongue she is known as...

    The Kamigawa

"A Necromancer I am, though not in the way you Nords mean it... There are two sides to every truth, a dark side, and a light side... As shadow and flame, ours is an eternal dance."

The Kamigawa presents a play-style unlike any you have seen before; it is a role-playing intensive challenge. A magic based character, the Kamigawa casts spells chiefly based on laying to rest the souls of the undead. To herself her to this end, she invokes the service of a multitude of spirit-allies to aid her.

Skills:  Guardian Circle + Vampire's Bane

Effect: Surround yourself in a purging circle of sunlight, healing yourself and causing the dead to flee for the shadows as rays of sunlight lance out, reducing them to ash

"One day, my light shall fail, but its hall not fade. As a dying star, my light shall turn outward and emanate forth, and in that final brilliance more souls shall I lay to rest than my own." - Illiria, Kamigawa of the house Tor

    Gameplay  & Roleplaying:

    The Build

You are a Kamigawa, sent sent out from your ancient House to lay the dead to rest, heal the sick, and restore balance to the world. To this end, you came to Skyrim, where the dead have been awakening through some disturbance in the veil.

You must never kill needlessly, or those of innocent blood. Only those who have killed may be slain. If this rule is broken and an innocent is slain, lay two coins on their eyes, and burn their corpse, to set amends. You must never take from the dead, their treasures are their own, unless stolen by them in life.

You are not a fighter, but a priestess. Most of your spells only affect the dead, (Detect Dead, Stendar's Aura, Sunfire, Vampire's Bane, Circle, Turn Dead). But don't worry, you don't fight alone.

    Spirits:

Familiar: (spell)  Your weak starting skill.

    File:SR-npc-Arniel's Shade.jpg

Arniel's Shade: (Spell) A bit of a cannon, Aniel's shade, (left picture) offers excellent ranged damage through spells. Reccomended.

Wyndelius Gatharian: (Spell) This is the only time you will ever raise a "body" using your dead thrall spell, bring the level 25 ethereal spirit back. Before resurrecting him, equip him with whatever gear you please. He is a very powerful ally.

"Wyndelius seems to react differently if raised as a dead thrall. When revived, he will go to ghost form and will speak normally with no moaning or groaning, saying things such as "Hmm? Does someone live among the dead?" when enemies are around or "Finality." when an enemy is defeated. As such, for anyone who refrains from using dead thrall/reanimate due to the moaning, this makes him a prime candidate for reanimation (other NPCs will still treat him like any other zombie though)."

    File:SR-npc-Spectral Assassin.jpg

Spectral Assassin: (Power) NOT recommended as the Dark Brotherhood is not really your line of work, but, as the game has limited spirit allies, I thought he should be included in the list, if you want to go rogue. As he scales with level, he is particularly powerful.

    File:SR-icon-shout-Ethereal.png

Call of Valor: (Shout) this shout summons one of three exceptional warriors to aid you for 60 seconds. Useful in a pinch if one of your main summons dies in a fight.

“Aether and ash swirl in the silver wind"

I like it mate! It's actually really strange to see a ghosty build so soon after me and Ben C were discussing one (over PM).

Arniels Shade a glass cannon??? I don't think so! You know the guy is invincible right?

Wyndelius was a nice touch! I actually like the odd touch of poetry you added as well.

    +1

Thanks! He kept dying, so I looked him up, and it turns out he only has 50 hp... but I must have been killing him off with some twin souls bug... Spectral Assassin is a little finicky. Thanks!

What did you two come up with? I was also speculating on using some ghost weapons, if it were a more combative build... Ghostblade + Smithing perks ignoring armor in main hand, and a drainheart in the offhand for the enchant, would be a fast combo. Drianspell bow for ranged etc. Maybe some bound stuffs.

This is a little bare bones at the moment, but I'll add more as I play it.

    Many thanks.

We went through the same library of ghouls as you did C, found some issues with running the speccy assassin with Mr Arniel...

Arniel alone is an absolute beastie! I set him on 'Mr Orc and his two goons' at one point and he nexus raped all three of them, I sat on a rock and watched...

Ponty looked up that Ghostblade for me last week, those three points of damage bypass armor but the weapon itself doesn't. Considering the trouble spent picking it up the weapon is a pile of crap, even the materials needed to upgrade it are sometimes bothersome to find.

My vote goes for bound gear all the way! Looks like Dragonborn is bringing us some kind of spectral armor so be sure to find a way of working that in when the time comes...

I like to play with more realistic damage...

Hardcore, no armor (or armor spells) and no points invested in health is a manifestation of that. It means you have to heal and use wards effectively, play smart, and make full use of your summons.
