*This Build takes Place Between Chapter 17 and Chapter 70 of the Jaeger Saga*

My original plan was to make a Hold Guard build, but I wasn't up for it yet, so after a desperate attempt that I almost immediately removed, I came up with this idea, which focuses on a single perk - Poisoned. Oh my god, I can't get over how amazed I was when I first saw this perk, six years ago. To be able to slip a poison into someone's pocket through stealth, and then watch as said poison affects the person slowly? Oh, it's satisfying in a twisted, sick way. This build is also partially based upon an upcoming character in my Jaeger Saga, which you can read about more on by clicking on that link, or checking out the build. Either way, unlike my other build, this one isn't focused primarily on the Jaegers, but loosely based on Wih-Ju, a crazy Argonian with an expertise for mixing and matching poisons and potions. However, it's based so loosely you won't even need to roleplay as Wih-Ju, so any roleplay haters out there, don't worry - but there will be subtle RP-centric things that the build uses, but you could work around them if you wanted. The whole layout for this build is a passive-ish build that mainly uses poison to get his stuff done - when I said passive, I didn't mean actually being a pacifist, I just meant that you won't usually actively agroing on your enemies - I.E No two-handed battleaxing some bandit to a bloody pulp on the ground. However, you may use a dagger if it will assist your poisonings. I hope you enjoy what I've got so far, and in the comments if you want that Hold Guard build, feel free to suggest the Hold - I'm leaning on the Reach at the moment. Ideas, appreciation, and criticism are always welcome!

The Foundation for the build is mostly listed above. The Poisoned Perk in the Pickpocket Tree. You could call this build somewhat of a minibuild - I'll only be reaching level 25 with it, because after that, I can foresee it getting boring. Another inspiration came from this, which Paws also has linked below - Teinaava's Tribes of the Sahxleel, a fantastic insight into the tribes of the Argonians, or in their native tongue, the Sahxleel. The tribe this build focuses on is the Kota-Vimleel, or as they're known to the rest of the world, the Black Tongues, Black Marsh, and possibly Tamriel's most prolific Alchemists. The Kota-Vimleel are insanely knowledgable with anything Alchemical, and are fervent worshippers of Sithis, Chief Deity of the Dark Brotherhood of Tamriel, and The Void. They are even said to be able to control the hatching date of their females so they are born under the Sign of the Shadow, using an alchemical wonder known as Gloom Nectar. Not much more is known of the dark tribe known as the Black Tongues, other than that is where our intrepid player character will come from. The secondary foundation, is as mentioned before, the Poisoned Perk. I just can't get over how awesome this is. Most Alchemy builds don't make use of this, instead preferring to poison weapons or some other semblance of true Alchemical Mastery. The ability to physically deposit poisons into your enemies pocket allows you to directly inflict your wondrous (or deadly) potions and poisons upon your foe. It gives you a fantastic gameplay edge, meaning you seriously have to stake out an area, because if you run in expecting to wreck people, you won't. Your claws are undoubtedly good weapons, but your massive damage comes from your silent potions and poisons, so sneaking will be a huge part of the build.

Race: Seriously? Argonians provide a decent roleplaying factor, (seeing the build is named the Argonian Alchemist) as well as sneak, and pickpocket buffs.

Stone: Originally, keep the Thief for levelling up every single one of your most important skills, and then switch out to either the Atronarch Stone or the Serpent Stone, purely for roleplaying.

Skills: Alchemy, Pickpocket, Sneak, One-Handed, Light Armor

Gear: Linwe's Armor, Linwe's Gloves, Guild Master's Boots, The Ring of Potions (Silver Ring enchanted with fortify Alchemy) The Necklace of Snakeskin (Silver Necklace enchanted with resist Poison)

Weapons: Blades of the Skinsickening (Dual Blades of Sacrifice enchanted with Absorb Stamina), Blade of the Poisontouch (Blade of Sacrifice used for poisoning)

Ah, man is it bad if I considered (very briefly) copying and pasting my other message :P I am interested in this build, even if it wasn't an Argonian I am absolutely always interested in builds that focus on using poisons, it's been done a few times to varying degrees but there are still only a few builds that I think manage to make it feel really awesome.

Good luck with the build Wulf, I think the build could especially be interesting if you end up using some of the more interesting poisons, I reckon you could do some really cool stuff with them.

So not much to add yet in terms of thoughts, but I would encourage you to check Teineeva's Tribes of the Saxhleel, specifically this:

The first tribe Emmanubeth describes are the Kota-Vimleel, known to the empire’s denizens as the “Black Tongues”. These argonians are most likely among the most accomplished alchemist, herbalists and experts of argonian biology I’ve ever come across in my research and if we ever have the occasion to take one of their masters on at the House of Orsimer Glories I would highly applaud it. Their extensive knowledge of alchemy has lead them to have some peculiar and easily identifiable cultural practices. For example their reputation as master poisoners is so well spread among the local tribes that they have started to use their alchemical equipment to delimit their territory and mark certain plants as their property; trespassing (I’ve heard they are actually quite welcoming if one asks for passage through their territory) or harvesting from these plants usually ends up with the transgressor ending up dead not much later from seemingly natural, yet extremely painful causes.

So I actually did 2 small tips regarding potions and poisons back in the day. One about naming them and one, which you should defo check out, about the Poisoned perk. I did some testing and included how you can get to that pickpocket lvl in no time, how you can use the poison on the enemy in the shortest time possible and other useful information.
This one will mention a "Philosopher's Stone" (the link will be broken), which is essentially an item that provides a very strong enchantment of Fortify Alchemy, that you can use to craft poisons to instantly kill enemies. It can be created by abusing the fortify restoration loop, mods or just the console, I guess. Try to get one that can create poisons with a high magnitude and a value below 1000 (check the Skyrim UESP for the health pool of bandits and such to know how much dmg you need. Should be around 450 maximum). Everything above that can not be reverse pickpocked. Also, read the comments below.
Take the difficulty slider into consideration as it will have a huge effect on poisons. Playing on novice is not a bad thing in advanced builds.

    Potions & Poisons Describtion

    Non-Combat Stealth-Takedownss

Also check out some of my other tips (just google Relycs tips or go through all tips and tricks), the mechanics presented could be inspiration for future builds.

How's this been going Wulf (if at all)? I noticed that you've been posting a fair few blogs recently so I'd assume your working more on that at the moment but if you've managed to get some playtime in I'd be interested in how the build's going.

should be an update tonight, if not tomorrow focusing on armor, race, that sort of thing. I've been playing my flagship character, Wulf - which I might make into a build, seperate from the Jaegers, based on a more grizzled and older Wulf - but I get an hour's playtime a day ... roughly, cuz of exams and Wulf-playtime, as well as my new dog. So, keep your eyes peeled!

Cool man, I'll look forward to the update. If you've got exams don't try and push yourself too hard with all of this content, it's good to have a bit of an outlet from it but it's always better to focus on what's important :D Good luck with them, and I'll eagerly await Wulf as well. I do have to ask, have you considered trying out a Roleplay Profile for any of your builds/characters? You've got some really fleshed out characters and all and I would think that the format would work really well to let you delve into them a bit more than a build does. I'm not really an expert on them though so I can't say for sure, just something to look into a little bit.

I'll keep an eye out for the update and the Wulf build :D

Well I definitely like the premise and lore, I've messed about with Posioned before but not much so this is nice to see. My main question is why are they in Skyrim? Its not everyday that you see an Argonian from the backwaters of Blackmarsh walking around Whiterun, so there must be a good reason for them being here.

Ooh, and I'm aso interested to see if you'll use Jarin Root (or whatever its called) for the build? Keeping it as a finisher for the character (ie killing the BBEG) or using it for roleplay - ie its actually some amazing plant from the tribe that the character takes little drops from for use day to day etc.

Oi oi, did someone mention a profile?!

Yeah, I'm seconding what Deebs said. Your character are really interesting mate, and seeing the deep ins and outs of them in profile form is the perfect way to show that to the rest of the Vault (and I'm only 10% saying that because I'm a RP host). Seriously though, if you need some tips on how to get 'em started or whats needed, just shoot me a PM or head over to the RP group.

Hey, Zonn? I'm on an (old) PC so I could use console commands to duplicate the Jarrin Root (or use it as a suicide pill?) and use it in potions, thanks for that! I'm working on some roleplay profiles for Wulf right now. Have you checked out the Jaeger build? it's up on the CB right now, so anyone can see it if you want

I know that there's a perk surrounding getting two concotions for the price of one in the Alchemy tree, so that might be something to look into (but that could just be about applying it to weapons, I don't use the tree much). I just thought that being an insanely good alchemist and coming from a group of insanely good alchemists there should be an ingredient or poison that really sets them apart, which of course Jarrin Root would do. There are methods to duplicate items without using Console Commands (basically for console users) which you could mention, but again I've never used them so I'm not sure what they are. The suicide pill is a cool and original idea, though, and not one I think I've seen in a build before, so definitely include that! And it fits well with the character as well, perfect.

Its been a while but I think I have checked out the build, but what with school and other stuff I can't remember the specifics I'll go and check it out now (but I should mention that this is after I commented on the WiP profile).
