Hello Internet! Welcome to my second build in progress… The Frozen King! This build will use the powers of frost and wind to ward off against any that would hurt fair Skyrim! Without further ado, liet me present you to:

    THE FROZEN KING: ODIN WINDCALLER

“May the wind cloak me in brotherhood.

May the ice keep me cool and collected.

May my heart and my aim be as true as ice is frigid…

                                                                                                                      - Oath of the Frost Covenant”

    Backstory:

It was the 127th year of the second era. The world was amidst chaos. The land was in chaos once again and the grand empire of Cyrodiil was dividing into three groups: The Aldmeri Dominion, The Ebonheart Pact, and The Daggerfall Covenant. War was on the horizon. Among the warriors that came from that time, none were as bold nor as wize as the Frozen King.

The Frozen King was a Nord gifted with three blessings: total control over ice magics, an all-sight similar to the Elder Scrolls, and above average reflexes. His skill with the blade and magics were known across the three factions. He was build like a Nord, had the magical skills and height of a Breton, the tenacity of Reman Cyrodiil I, and was as skilled with a blade as the Alik’r. Legends tell of the time he stood and fought against the undead horde of Mannimarco and defeated him with “blades of winter’s woe”, slicing apart the rotten flesh of fallen warriors and cleansed the land of entropy!

That was almost a thousand years ago, and his name has been forgotten... Until the dragon’s came… His legacy may have ended, but he has decided to return from his home of Sovngarde and fell the great Alduin and free Tamriel of it’s plight once again! He requested of Tsun to send him to Tamriel to walk again along the path of honor and valor. Tsun agreed but only if Odin entered the body of a mortal , but did not take over. Instead, Odin was to be the voice of reason and valor to guide the person to his destiny as the Dragonslayer!

Odin agreed to the pact and was sent into the body of a man by the name of Tural, a Breton who would live a life of mediocrity and indifference, yet wanted to make a difference in the world. When he became of age and was sent to explore the world, Odin came to him in a dream and told him of his destiny as the harbinger of frost! Taken aback by the prophetic dream, Tural woke up to see his once warm and homely room to be surrounded by frozen furniture and snow encasing the floor like a soft white carpet. It took Tural three seconds to hit the floor and faint…

He awoke to see the familiar of Odin stand before him in the tavern room, clad in ethereal armor of yore. That night, Tural was a changed man. He began training with the old master and learned the skills of frost magic. While he trained, he began his journey to Skyrim where Odin was told the final confrontation between man and the end times would happen. He arrived in Skyrim from the city of Bravil and was captured by Stormcloaks who thought him as an Imperial spy. These same warriors were ambushed by Imperial soldiers and captured. Mistaken for another Stormcloak, you too were captured and sent to Helgen for execution.

This build is one of my favorites builds I have worked on and has been my longest successful attempt to make a spellsword. This build is a true Nord (although the race is actually Breton), and will destroy any who would rather harm Skyrim!

    “Winter is coming…”

    Not mentioned above:

Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana- gives you two new spells when worn: Freeze and Ignite

    Unenchanted Stalhrim Sword(2)

    Unenchanted Stalhrim Bow

    Roleplay:

Odin Windcaller is a beast without an equal. He values honor and loyalty over wealth and power.  Because of this, Odin is a compatriot to those whose values line up with his. His deeds will be known throughout Skyrim and Solstheim by the end of the 201st year of the Fourth Era. Odin only fights out in the open. Only cowards and gutter-born cravens use stealth to attack their enemy! If he sees someone in peril, it is his sworn oath to help that person, no matter the lack of need in the task!

Odin shuns the Daedra and any who follow them (Molag Bal’s vampires, Hircine’s Were beasts)  and will throw their artifacts in the Sea of Ghosts when if he come across them! He is a ruthless tactician and General of the Stormcloak army, where he leads the armies of Skyrim’s faithful and siege Solitude’s gates. The Dark Brotherhood and Morag Tong are on the top of his list of extermination along with dragons, giants, vampires, werewolves, forsworn, and necromancers. His story is as follows:

Unbound- He began chained in Imperial bindings, sent to the gallows almost as fast as he came into existence, then the World Eater landed and rained down a storm of fire! Within the confusion, Odin escaped with the help of Ralof and the Stormcloaks. Now released onto Tamriel, Odin will realize his destiny!

Main Story- After being released from Imperial binds, the old warrior heads to Riverwood where he speaks to Gurdur. From there, Odin learns he is Dragonborn and will vanquish the World almost after from the existing Kalpa!

Dawnguard- Just as the dust settles from the fight with Alduin, rumors are spread that a group of vampires have been plaguing random cities… Hearing this, Odin rushes to Fort Dawnguard to join the fight to free the world of the bloodsuckers! He finds a young vampire lady, whom is later able to convince into reverting back to human, who speaks about her father wanting to blot out the sun forever. Knowing this, Odin makes,it his new sworn oath to eradicate the Volkihar Clan!

    “Behold! The power of Blizzards!”

Companions Faction- While wandering through Skyrim, Odin heard of the legendary guild of warriors known as the Companions. Hearing of their honor in battle and their loyalty to the cause, Odin joins their faction, proving his own strength in battle. Alas, the band of warriors were not all honorbound, for the band of warriors strongest were werebeast and belonged to Hircine! However, this did not affect Odin. He stayed with the band and became its harbinger, leading them to a time of honor and loyalty without the help of the wereblood!

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood- Along his journey, Odin meets a boy by the name of Adventis Arintino. The boy is excited to see the man, mistaking him for a member of the infamous Dark Brotherhood! He requests Odin to kill the head of the providence’s orphanage, Grelod the Kind. Odin believed Grelod should cease her duties as headmistress, but does not deserve death. Odin tries to talk the crone into retirement, and she responded with a knife. Odin was left without choice: Grelod was dead. Odin felt his innocence vanish. Days later, Odin was kidnapped by Astrid, the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, asking him to repay the contract he “took” by ending the life of three innocent. Aggravated by Astrid and against spilling guiltless blood, Odin killed her before she could him. Realizing the Dark Brotherhood is now without its leader, Odin takes his chance and kills every last Dark Brotherhood member, sending the band of assassins to their “beloved” Sithis!

The Man Who Cried Wolf/ The Wolf Queen Awakened-  Whilst visiting Solitude, Odin entered the Blue Palace. Upon his entrance, he hears a man talking about strange happening going on in Wolfskull Cave. His decision to investigate lead to a frightening discovery: a coven of necromancers were trying to summon Potema: The Wolf Queen herself! Odin destroyed the coven, banishing Potema within Wolfskull cave and saved the people of Tamriel from the decaying clutches of the Wolf Queen!

Alas! The Wolf Queen was not banished, but was released, gathering her strength and forming a small army underneath the Temple of Divines in Solitude! The Jarl asked for the aid of one man: Odin Frost-Eye! He delved deep into the catacombs and vanquished the dark spirits residing inside, making his way to the chamber that housed Potema’s remains. Stories were told of that day: How Odin fought an army of vampires, vanquished Potema’s zombie horde, and defeated the Wolf Queen with only his blades and his ingenuity. Whatever the case was, Potema was defeated that day, and Odin was revered as a hero to Skyrim!

Civil War: Stormcloaks- Skyrim has been bloodied for almost a year now and people had begun to suffer! Odin saw this suffering during his travels and enlisted in the Stormcloak armies, taking the fight to the same empire he fought almost a thousand years ago! The warriors he fought were valiant, and the forts he sieged were filled with Imperial flags and men, but the empire was no match against the efforts of General Odin Frost-Eye and his men. When the time arrived, Odin and his men were at the front gate of Solitude with High King Ulfric: savior of us all! When Odin’s sword fell, and the head of Tullius- the imperial general- became detached from his broken body, the soldiers in Solitude, in Skyrim, and in the mead hall of Sovngarde all cheered the protectors of fair Skyrim! However this is not the end of the story of the hero Odin.  He has one last act of heroism and valor left: his vanquishing of the Dragonborn Miraak!

Dragonborn- Having helped and saved all of Skyrim on multiple occasions, destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, and fought off the Empire, Odin now turns his gaze to his newly built manor between the steep hills of The Pale, willing to rest his blades and remove his armor for the rest of his existence, when a group of cultists attacked him in the middle of Whiterun! Intrigued and annoyed, the warrior followed the trail to Solstheim, where he found a horrible curse laid upon the townsfolk of Solstheim: the people were being forced to build shrines that would allow the return of a man by the name of  Miraak. Realizing this, Odin makes it his final endeavor to destroy Miraak and free the people of Solstheim and the Skaal from Miraak’s grasp!

    Abilities/ Custom Combos:

Sub-zero Bomb(Slow Time Dual-Cast Ice Storm(x5)+Freeze): Slow time to a crawl and send a barrage of ice at the opposing force. Once time returns to normal, the enemy realizes their folly before breathing their last frozen breath

Chill Out!(Frost Breath): Release a blast of absolute zero in front of him. Once released, the only thing that will remain will be the wide-eyed hopeless expressions on a garden of ice sculptures!

Dance of Ice(Ethereal Form+Blizzard+Sub-zero Bomb): Relinquishing blades to channel power of Kynareth and her winds, summon a massive blizzard that freezes time. When time stands still, releases a Flurry of ice storms in a circle around the opposition. Any that survive the encounter end up losing limbs to the frostbite and going insane.

Whirlwind Dance!(Whirlwind Cloak+Stalhrim Swords(2)+Elemental Fury): Wielding two swords made of ice and calling for the blessing of Kynareth, begin an assault with twice the speed of any mortal, swinging so fast that those who get too close could get blown away by the sheer force of his swings.

Wrath of Kynareth(Whirlwind Sprint+Cyclone): When backs are to the wall and a respite is requested, reposition to a different location and release a cyclone of bitter wind on the opposition.

    Ultimate Combo:

Thick Winds(Wrath of Kynareth+Dance of Ice+Chill Out!+Whirlwind Dance): Invoke the Wrath of Kynareth to set up the enemy for their last breath by releasing a cyclone of ice shards and bitter wind. While the storm brews, take on a more spiritual form and release a massive blizzard and slows time. Then create more concentrated balls of frozen death around the opposition. Now freeze the rest that survive before finally drawing weapons and channeling the winds into a cloak that speeds the weapon swings and knocks enemies in every direction onto the ground! Not even the toughest of dragons can survive these thick winds!

“This was Hammerfell after someone pissed off Tural...”

    Final Remarks:

I hope you who reads this enjoys this build as much as I have enjoyed making it. If want to, leave a comment on what you thought of the build and anything you might have done to make this guy better. I have to admit, this has been a real breath of fresh air! Until next time my fellow Dovahkiin!

    Nahl… Daal Vus!

Damn, sorry I've missed this until now Midnight. I'm just checking in to see whether you've posted this in the CB (if so then throw me a link to this and your first build). I'd like to give you a late welcome to the Workshop, and start off by letting you know that I love the build. I do have a few quick recommendations that I noticed off the bat and wanted to talk to you about.

The Perk Spread is a little difficult to read, and could really use a bit of a...straighter, neater font. It works really well for the main (Level 51) part of the text but the rest of it is just too small, and a little too hard to read. On the same topic (more or less), way too much of the text is italicized, I understand using it for maybe the Backstory and Abilities but I think it just makes reading those blocky quests a little too hard. It is a super minor thing and I'm usually in the minority who mentions it, but by eyesight is garbage and if I can't read a build I head off straight away.

At the same time, I'd try and find some larger pictures that fit in with the build. That's definitely just a personal preference but I think that some of the images are just a little small (actually, after looking through it was really just the one in the Roleplay section, the others are smaller than what I'd usually recommend but fit the build rather well and aren't too small.)

Anyway, those are just minor, presentation concerns. Overall I really love your building style, especially the way that you break each section up so that they're clearly seperate and of course  the character is really cool, I love me a good Cyromancer Build and when you throw in one of the coolest armour sets in the game, well that's a double bonus in my eyes. If you ever need some advice, or want to run something by someone then throw a message my way whenever and I'll be happy to help (the one benefit of having far too much free time is that I'm free to have time to spare)

EDIT: Blast, just noticed that I only included two ice puns, it's Vault Standard that all replies must contain at least 1 Ice Pun for any Frost based builds but this is far below my usual standard. :P

Edit 2: One last thing that I forgot to mention, I'd recommend trying to remove some of that white space between the little 'dividers' and the words. It can just get a little off-putting to have those blank spaces before getting more build you know.

I'll have to echo Deebs on the perk spread, my eyes are very bad though. You know, that image, however, is freaking sweet. Ever consider not doing a perkspread and then just put that image side by side with your listed perks? May be a nice compromise between listing the perks and using the image. Or, find another image for the spread and then use the perk spread image you got now, somewhere else. Perk spreads are not set in stone. Great builds have them and great builds don't have them.

A lot of times when you google for images, if you right click on the image you like and click "search google for image', it'll redirect you to a page where you are sometimes presented with size options. You can then select a size that is larger if you can find it.

I don't know, perhaps change the colour of the font? Either way, that's an amazint pic. You've got to keep that one.
