Let's Guide: Mage's Guild Catalogue of Spells

  • May 10, 2015

Oh, two discussions in few minutes? Karver got completely crazy. Maybe. But we need to get things rolling, and this idea for this discussion/guide wasn't actually my idea. It was Teineeva's.

So, what is this about? What interests us is: What are your favourite custom spells? What powerful spell of pure awesomenes you created? Tell us about some of these bad boys. Give us names, gives us combinations, give us power!

Spells for both Morrowind and Oblivion are welcomed. I'll start again with some of mine.

    Oblivion:

Feast of Blood: Absorb Health + Absorb Fatigue on Touch + Fortify Health + Fortify Fatigue + Fortify Magicka on Self

Conjurer's Shell: Bound Boots + Bound Greaves + Bound Armor + Bound Gauntlets + Bound Helmet + Bound Shield on Self

Instant Death by Russell: Weakness to Magic on Touch followed by Weakness to Magic + Drain Health on Touch

Wrath of Aetherius by Chris Diokno - Fire Damage + Shock Damage + Frost Damage + Damage Health + Paralyze on Target

Submit by Chris Diokno - Fire Damage + Paralyze + Command Humanoid on Target

Shapeshift by Chris Diokno - Invisibility on Self, Conjure (Anything)

The Ultimate Ultimatum by Jace Beleren - Bound Boots + Bound Greaves + Bound Armor + Bound Gauntlets + Bound Helmet + Bound Dagger on Self, Conjure Spider Daedra, Shield on Self

    Morrowind:

Siren's fins by Teineeva: Swift Swimming + Water Breathing on Self

Trichromatic Deathray by Teineeva: Fire + Ice + Shock on Target

Trickster Armor by Teineeva:  Full Bound Armor + Shield or Sanctury on Self

Lavawalk by Ylva Endran: Resist Fire + Water Walking on Self

Morrowind or Oblivion? Both? And effect on self? You´re trying to kill other players, Chris?

Oblivion: primer: weakness to magic 100% for 5 secs on touch follow up with weakness to magic 100% drain health 100% on touch, spell name instant death.

That is one powerful combination. I´ll write it without the numbers, so people could use it on lower levels too. Thanks for sharing, Russel.

Awesome, you put my idea to practice, well I guess I don't have an excuse to stay out of the Classics group anymore.

I'll go with a few simple ones I created in Morrowind (my mage save just got eaten so I can only give the effects out of memory):

    Siren's song:

    • Swift Swimming on self (a lot of points)
    • Water breathing on self x points
    • Sound on target x points (I still have no clue what that does but it felt appropriate, all I can say is that slaughterfish didn't care...)

    Trichromatic (death)ray:

    • Fire on target x points (no duration, that counts for the other effects as well)
    • Ice on target x points
    • Shock on target x points

    Trickster armor:

    • Bound all armor pieces for 1 second
    • Shield or Sanctuary 100%

Sound decreases a chance then enemy´s spell will work. Or decreases chance to succesfully cast a spell. Something like that.

That Trickster Armor. What is the purpose of having full armor for 1 sec? I´ll be putting it up, but I´m trying to not include numbers. So people could use it on lower levels too, as well as higher levels.

Well the armor has no real use, I just started to develop this spell to slowly grind my conjuration skill and decided that it might as well have a use in the end.

And in that case I would rename the Siren's song to Siren's fins, and remove the sound effect, it has no use either.

    Will do.

Oblivion, and it was just some random spell I made, I can't recall why.
