Hey, can someone point me in the direction of some interesting conjuration guides? I think specifically of using conjuration for other things than sommoning monsters like using it to replenish magika ect

Hey Veloth, sorry for not responding sooner to your question.  I try to keep upto date on this thread.  Anyway I did do a pretty extensive series on necromancy which is a part of the Conjuration shool of magic called the Necronomicon.  But that may not be what you are looking for.  I assume you are looking for guides on how to abuse the magic absorbtion glitch?  I may be wrong (and probably am) but I don't think anyone has posted on official guide to how to do it but the basis is to get 100% magic absorbtion and then a powerful Conjuration Staff like Sanguine's Rose.  The absorbtion effect will trigger whenever you use the staff replenishing the magicka amount of whatever it was you were trying to summon.  It's a fun strategy that turns what is usually seen as a negative glitch into a legitimate and powerful playstyle.  I know that there are some builds that put this into practice unfortunatly i can't remember them off the top of my head.  Anyway i hope that helps.

Yeah Vargr that is exactly like what I had in mind. Do you know if it still works using normal conjuration spells or would I have to use a staff?

It still works however you'll need some cost reduction gear/perks in order to get a net gain on the spells.  Otherwise it will only restore what you used to cast it in the first place.  For example  say a spell costs 100 to cast without any cost reduction.  You would spend 100 to cast it then the absorbtion would trigger and you would restore the 100 you just spent, gaining nothing.  However say we have the perk for that spell -50% cost.  Now you cast the spell and it costs 50 however when the absorbtion triggers it will restore 100 (the full cost of the spell).  Gaining you +50 magicka.  At least that is how it was explained to me, however i've never actually tried this method so i would suggest testing it.  The problem with this method assuming it works as described, is that you will need at least some magicka in order to cast the spell.

I can vouch for the staff method personnally as i have used it myself.

Ok cool. Thanks Vargr, I'll try testing it out\experimenting with it when it's out.

Is there a way to add an Absorb Magicka enchantment to armor?

I thought of a build I call the Atro Tank.

Basically, he's a heavily armored battlemage who absorbs his opponents' spells (like the way the Artonach Birthsign worked in TES: Oblivion.)

I do not want to mention the build too much here - I want to actually try him out in Skyrim first!

Not that I know of, but I think Miraak's armor does that.

What about the Atronach Stone glitch? Increasing the Spell Absorb through resto potions? That should recreate the Atronach Birthsign from Oblivion.

Does blocking with a two-handed weapon block more damage than blocking with a one-handed weapon? And does it block damage in a wider area due to being a larger weapon?

@ Blooded:  The size or type of weapon doesn't matter when it comes to blocking, all blocking (weapon or shield) only blocks attacks coming from the front or the character.
