very cool. I'll be interested to see your take on it.
After taking the Castle, I got bold and made a southern trek to retrieve both the AGI & END bobbleheads. I only died once and made it back to the castle. Pretty fun way to play...with death counting so to speak.

Something I found with Survival is I was less wrapped up in stats and leveling up and whatnot and more focused on actually getting stuff done and surviving. There were times I had 5 unspent level ups because I just didn't feel any pressing need to do anything with them.

YES! Totally. It's def more immersive. I'm level 30 now. Time to head to see Virgil finally. Really need to get to the Institute for RP purposes. I've actually leveled way faster than I really meant to, TBH. Prob my Idiot Savant/ low INT combo, but also just playing and playing...to your point.

Another reason you might be gaining XP faster than expected is because you're actually getting a good night's sleep! The Well Rested bonus gives you 10% bonus XP for 12 in-game hours.

I've been using the Savant and low INT combo as well and there have been times where I've checked my level and had to double check that I wasn't seeing things. Part of it is that I'm a much higher level then I normally would be when doing quests, which is probably because of Idiot Savant and the fact that I'm spending more time preparing to do things.

Does anyone have any tips for clearing Libertalia? My biggest concern is the guy with the fatman since that will be instant death for me I'm thinking it might be possible to snipe him but I'm not sure how easy to will be.

What are your main weapons, sniper and pistol?
If so, I'd say just be. Cautious and stay back and snipe the fat man guy. Can't use that elevator thing with him alive

Yeah I've got a .50 sniper rifle and a combat rifle set up for close range. On a couple of past character's I've actually ignored the lift completely and climbed the tower from water level to try and get close enough to him so that I can VATS him out of existence.
