My pleasure, friend. I love doing this shit. My fiance was laughing at me the whole time, only for him to be all like building his Hangman's too. :D Pot calling the kettle black.

Very creative way to build Hangmans Alley, Liss. Everyone says that it's one of the worst settlement spots in the game, but you've proven them wrong.

Really? People say that? I mean, first thing I was thinking when I had my sights on it was "So close to Diamond City", "soooooo close". I dunno, for an SMode playthrough with no Local Leader, this settlement is a MUST to capture, IMO, even if you're just using it as a rest stop. But, I say, why not get it producing for you?

Yes, Bones, it's really Hangman's Alley, but what a big difference, no? Since my last session, I added a few things.
More crops. I had a few people where were not doing anything. Lazy gits. :D
An extra scrapping station.
Moved the first scrapping station out of the rail car and replaced it with a surgery center. Haha! Now who wants surgery in a rail car? I do. It gives a settler something to do. Less settlers mucking around is less that go where they're not supposed to.
Disco Bus is also now a Barber shop as well. :D For the same reason, though there are still beds and chairs.
A powered door linking to my rail car armory. I really got tired of settlers accessing the area. The solution was a power door in which the switch is only available if I travel to the opposite side, which is only accessible by me. Ended up working really well. I also pushed in my desk chair all the way so they couldn't sit. If I REALLY want to sit, I can move the chair back via the workshop.
A display case for the Cryolator and displays for other weapons in the rail car bridge armory thingy. Yeah, I got that old Cryolator from vault 111. Tehehe.
A small scaffold bridge that lets me cross easier to access the armory and power switch for the door.
I also made a save and messed around with building on the other side, where the crops are. Apparently there's still some available space, which is cool for later.
In a bit I'll post my level 25 stats.

I wanted to post a sort of recap of what perks I've taken, my stats, and my gear. Who would've thought that I'd get to this point, huh? Me, silly Lis who's scared of her shadow in the Commonwealth. I'm excited that I get to take a break from settlements to focus more on questing. I feel like Norine is getting stronger. She can still go down pretty fast if I'm stupid, but she can engage effectively in battle now.
Basics
HP: 276
AP: 150
Carry weight: 230 base carry weight. Up to 300 with deep pocketed gear and +1 strength from weight lifting
Damage Resistance: 86
Energy Resistance: 77
Radiation Resistance: 15
World Perks
Barbarian 3/8
Junktown Vendor 2/8
Picket Fences - Patio Furniture
Picket Fences - Lights
Wasteland Survival Guide 8 - Take 5% percent less mellee damage.
Wasteland Survival Guide 9 - Extra meat from animal kills
Repair Bobblehead
Gear
Recoil Compensated Advanced Combat Shotgun - Damage 139
Recoil Compensated Calibrated Powerful Sniper Rifle - Damage 78
Molotov Cocktails and Fragmentation grenades
(L) Trouble shooter's Machete because sometimes it's just fun to whack bugs
(L) Chameleon Polished Deep-pocketed Metal Chest Piece
(L) Cryogenic Polished Metal Right Arm
Treated Vault Suit
Rest of my armor is modded combat armor
There are several perk categories I really want to avoid now. Local Leader, Scrounger, Fortune Finder, Science, and Chemist. I will level up Perception to access Sniper.
As always, thanks for looking. I figured now you all have a very strong sense of the direction I went with this playthrough. I'm running with Dogmeat now to see if Attack dog will be worth my while later. I'm also considering a change to her appearence to reflect her time in the Commonwealth and I will start putting her in more Raider Type under gear to reflect her darker side. Right now, she's in her treated Vault suit. Next session will see me doing some fun questing. :D

That Hangman's is AWESOME!!! You totally nailed the aesthetic, and I love the individual units for your settlers. You've managed to use the space and make it seem cramped in a good way. Hopefully you keep building on it and make it a little city tucked away. Great work Lissette. How much XP did you get from building all that? because man, it looks crazy. If you had mods, I can only imagine the possibilities!

Not as much as I thought I would. I was about level 22 or 23 when I got it and then I got to level 24 and then I ran around and killed things for a bit to get more stuff for Hangman's Alley and now I'm just at level 25. I never build at the right time. My fiance builds with his labcoat, his intelligence boosting gear and food after a good night's sleep and half the time, I just forget to do that.
And thanks, Hangman's was super fun to make. I love the colors and its clutteredness, but at the same time it's just not an exercise in how many rows of beds, water, and crops I can cram into the space for maximum efficiency, you know? Like, it has character, like a mini city that sprung up outside the shadow of Diamond City. I wish I got a ghoul settler, but no such luck. My Sanctuary hills is very dull by comparison and I may consider revising it late in the game. I really started to hit a stride with settlements after Starlight Drive In, but by far, I spent the most time on Hangman's. I guess, I prefer settlements that offer a challenge for design and I really hate that you can't just scrap all the houses in Sanctuary Hills and it's too big and too far to the Northwest. Haha. Also, that Hangman's is so central. It's a smart investment, IMO.
Yeah, probably the only mods I'd take at this point would be to allow for better positioning and maybe one that lets me build more things. And... one that lets you scrap it all.
