Love the new Wood King symbol! You have one very snazzy TOC, Rancid. Very very snazzy. I need to fancify mine one of these days, that old header's gotta go!

Thank you, Fawn. Your page is very fancy, though! The vibrant character screenshots and that stunning Frost Moon banner are really beautiful and eye-catching.

I was ready to post The Wood King part four today, but overnight my laptop decided to reboot for Windows 10 updates. Sadly I lost my final draft of the part which was unsaved on the 'add blog post' page and this inconvenience may set me back for another four or five days.
Today has just not been my day.

Oh no! I'd recommend keeping your writings in Google Docs, since it saves automatically even in the case of sudden shutdowns or overheating or whatever technical malfunction may occur. I know the pain of a lost draft, Rancid! *hugs*

Sadly his happens every now and then. I would recommand, just like Fawn already did, that you start using a service like Google docs (or anything else that auto saves) when working on your chapters. Converting them back to word afterwards if you prefer to have a normal copy.
It is however not fool safe I'm afraid. Bugs happen, but it's a lot less furiating than losing everything due to a Windows update.

I had something like this happen last weekend. I lost over a thousand words to the start of one of my chapters. everything I written afterwards seemed so bland and riddled with errors. Five times I tried to start again. The sixth time though I managed to write something which I liked.
You will get through this. I think we all have been here at some point and you won't be the last.
Heart goes out to you.

Thank you so much for your advice and support, guys! I had a solid 12-hour tantrum about it yesterday, but that won't bring it back. I hope I can make this final draft better than the last, and if not, bah it's not worth fussing over so much anyway.
I'm really sorry to hear that you guys have lost data as well in the past (Sotek, over a thousand words lost would probably kill me). Here's to hoping it won't happen again!
