    Hum...

    I see it working...

Can I use your informations on the ebony blade on a new section on the LW?

Certainly! UESP is for everybody :)

I wanted the build to have a samurai/ronin feel without feeling obligated to keep it historically accurate... my knowledge of samurai culture is superficial at best. Nor do I feel comfortable importing too much of earth into nirn. Basically I wanted a ronin flavor while keeping Skyrim Skyrim-y (hence "Sai Murai" and "Rohnin"--nothing's more Skyrim-y than "roh" :D)

Now add a staff and it's a mystic Rohnin xD

Although it sounds like she's already cast a flesh spell...

Not quite what I had in mind when I thought of the title, but certainly interesting... :)

I like this RP and gameplay wise, but I have to ask: if you play on PC, is there any reason you don't use an unofficial patch/mod to make the Ebony Blade upgradeable? I'd also ask, if you could improve it, how would the build change? Would MfD be obsolete?

Well you do have the magic element going with all the conjurations and the flesh spells. Not to mention the magic katana that compels you to betray people.

Yeah, actually I really enjoyed the blend of two-handed and magic. I know many people find it awkward, but for this build magic is used mainly as an opener... throw out your initial casts, then bring on the hurt with the Ebony Blade. To me, it feels pretty natural.

I had the same playstyle with my Nethermancer and it worked pretty well, most spells being cast before battle. It kind of compartmentalizes the different aspects of your build but gameplay is seamless.

I know it seems like a wasted opportunity, but I like to keep Skyrim Vanilla-y. I modded Oblivion pretty heavily, and while it was incredibly awesome, I started to feel a bit out of touch with console players whenever I discussed the game. I will certainly admit, though, that neglecting to make the blade upgradable seemed like an oversight on Bethesda's part... at least until I discovered the joys of Marked for Death :) I agree with you that upgrading the blade would probably make Marked for Death a bit overkill. If I were to upgrade, I would probably save MFD for the bound bow (and even then just for the higher levels).

Fair enough. I wouldn't even say it's a wasted opportunity, I was just curious as to your reasoning. The build showcases the utility of MfD by combining it with a weapon everyone wants to love, but usually don't feel like they can, so it's a great combination.
