Nice to see a balls-out, power-armoured, no-nonsense tanking. This is my style of play but obviously way better

Had a character much like this, my tinkerer... I'm sorry to say I never paid attention to the drugs or the agility perks, just a heavily armed monster roaming the wastes. Great work

Yeah if you want to use some of the late game big guns it's probably worth investing in Gun Nut, for this build though it just felt like too much investment when the lighter/standard weapons were so effective...

I've used the Gauss Rifle, not found a legendary version just yet but I understand the Sentry Bot featured in the vid here is a good place to farm for the two shot version...

I've not thought of using Lorenzo's yet, is the gamma gun not a pistol? Most of my guys choose either Rifleman or Commando so I usually just dismiss them.

Yeah, you should be shooting at least 12 shots for every shell if you can get a two shot combat shotgun, 'wounding' would also be a good choice...

1 shell = 6 shots at 25 bleeding damage....150 extra unresisted dps + your base damage.

I didn't use lead plating because it's heavy and radiation resistance isn't a problem in power armor. 'Explosive Shielding' is the one I use, it looks a bit boring but a useful Reddit user did some tests and noted a 55% damage reduction which is a huge help. You can start shielding your components at the very start of the game, lots of coffee cups...

I'll do a section for power armor, chems and general playstyle...

Rifleman definitely boosts shotguns, the problem is that I think it's also increasing explosive damage on the E Combat Shotgun which doesn't seem right...

Sounds good!  I did some tests with the shotgun I currently have and it ended up being worse  The reason is that the accuracy went straight to 0 and the guy managed to miss half the shells with VATS 95% chance

The bleeding one sounds good, I will give it a try

All two shot weapons take a slight accuracy hit apparently, I imagine it's pretty bad on a shotgun...it's still one of the best weapons to have when the ghouls start running at you though..."dodge this you fucker!"

It is a pistol, but I don't think it is affected by pistol perks (if it is though it would be godlike - that thing does more than enough damage as it is). I've also found Super Mutant Butchers to be good sources of high end weaponry for a relatively easy enemy - they drop Gausses, Missile Launchers, possibly Gatling Lasers and even higher.

Hi Mason, I was patiently waiting for you to publish a build and you didn't disappoint, it's brilliant mate, the way the perks synergise with each other is amazing especially the Grim Reapers sprint, better criticals and critical banker, as it grants the potential to be awesome in and out of VATS, this will take a lot of surpassing well done, hope there is more to come. Edit Did you consider adding Four leaf clover to your luck perks, or did you think it was deadly enough?

    Thanks mate!

I know this probably sounds weird but I just didn't like the look of the four leaf clover perk, I find the little guy unsettling...

Mechanically though the FLC perk apparently grants you a 13.5% chance of banking a critical after all 4 perks are taken....

...that seems like a ton of investment for very little return. If you check out the build video I'm critting (word?) all over the place from outside of VATS and keeping my FC fresh.

It would take 5 more perks to build up FLC and I don't think they would be worth it at all, far better to go into Perception and take Sniper instead (which is what I did).

    EDIT

There is a chance that FLC stacks with Overdrive and if that's the case then it could be very powerful...

A 38.5% chance of each of your VATS hits banking a critical would be impressive.

I doubt it works in this way, though stranger things have happened....

Ah perhaps I was wrong to make the assumption then because I thought that better criticals, grim reapers sprint and four leaf clover all stacked with overdrive mate, the reason I asked the question, ah well such is life would have been great though eh lol. Great build though just the same
