I got with my Dunmer to Windhelm and stopped playing there, because the rest of Ebonheart is about Nords...blah.

Dominion was the most interesting so far. I got to Greenshade, finished Wilderking questline (wow, it´s so long ago, it was for an Article me, Thorien and Fawn were doing) but I kinda didn´t get back to it.

Good to know I can do that now with different character and hop to Craglorn. Always wanted to run into a Celestial. And some Iron Orcs.

    Thanks, Pat. :)

Craglorn is interesting, for sure. There's a 12-person trial there (Sanctum Ophidia) where you actually go face-face with the Serpent. Amazing.

12 person Trial...hm, that was on my mind too some time back. I mean...I don´t mind pugs for 4 man dungeons and such, I actually live by those. But 12 person Trials...Hm, I remember there were pugs in Star Wars for big Operations, but those usually were really stupid dungeons for a lot of people, giving you some basic rewards.

Can 12 person Trial be done without a Guild?

Typically, I enjoy tanks (Fighters/Paladins in Neverwinter, Blade Masters/Kung Fu Masters in Blade and Soul, Vanguards in Revelation Online, etc.) that are somewhat mobile and have the ability to solo dungeons. I play solo 99% of the time, but I do enjoy supporting a party (usually through Crowd Control or light healing). I hate summons (terrible experiences dealing with Summoners and Warlocks in Blade and Soul) with a fiery passion and refuse to even touch them. xD

EDIT:  I forgot to mention that I love high-difficulty classes. For example, BnS's BMs were a 4.5-star difficulty, and KFMs were 5-stars. RO's Vanguards are 4-star difficulty ratings. (out of 5 stars)

A guy in my guild runs a magicka dragonknight as a tank. He tanks, debuffs the boss and trash mobs, and provides light healing support. He does an amazing job (I'd run a dungeon with him any time), but it is a difficult class/playstyle to master.

For a paladin, the Templar is the way to go. You could run it as a stamina-based playstyle (Stamplars) with 1H/Shield on one bar and a 2H on the second bar.

PSA: You no longer have to complete your Alliance story to unlock the others. Wayshrines for the other Alliances' "starter cities" (Vulkhel Guard, Davon's Watch and Daggerfall) seem to be added automaticall in One Tamriel.

PuGs - you either love them or hate them. I have mostly positive experiences with them, but there were a few that made me want to throw my controller at the TV. I was healing a PUG in Banished Cells. One boss is a huge Daedroth than spews fire everywhere. It took everything I had to keep this one guy alive. Then I realized what was going on...he was rifling through his inventory bag in the fire! I let him die, and we burned the boss without him.

As for the trial, I suppose you could do it without a guild, but the issue is getting 12 people together for it. Currently, the group finder doesn't que for trials. If you really want to do a trial, I'd suggest joining a trade guild. Trade guilds usually put no pressure on you to do anything in particular, but they do organize for trials every now and then. The Independent Guildsmen is a good trade guild that does not require weekly dues. My guild is a 342-person casual guild made up of people who are married and/or have a kid (but we don't strictly require that). We run trials every Thursday and do dailies all the time. Not sure if that's something you're interested in.

I'd love to put together a Tamriel Vault guild but I'm not sure we have enough people.

You can go to other alliance areas, but you can't do the other alliance questlines.

Ah, that explains it. Thanks for clearing that up!

I´m very vary of joining any guild for real life issues you know. Just as it is now, ESO for me is just another TES game I can pick up anytime I want. But with my past experiences, once I join a guild I become invested more than it is healthly. Addiction is strong in this one. Once a junkie always a junkie xD
