Even though it uses unarmed combat, for me Aalastor's The Oracle has come closest to making me want to play the class in Skyrim. Incorporating the staff really sold it.

Yeah, but they were quite fun, especcially with high Luck and Marksman skill. I do agree that they should bring them back, especcially if the next one's in Black Marsh.

I doubt it, Hammerfall or Alinor/The Summerset Isles are where it's at. I can't wait for Valenwood though, but I want them to hold off a little, I don't think they can fulfill my expectation for Valenwood even on the Xbone/PS4. Though let's not get into that.
I agree late game it was fun but in Morrowind and Oblivion late game was very different to Skyrim.

Aye. That is exactly the opinion we want to bring forward, well a conflicting one anyway. I do agree that it gets boring and that;s what originally inspired my Poison Purge, it's a shame I royally screwed that one up isn't it. But one day I'm going to make a decent unarmed build Ben, and I;m going to sell it you.
Thanks Ben, I don't really mind if you point these things out, makes me look like less of an ass when people come along later.

To be honest, I didn't really use it much in previous TES games. I didn't get too deep into the mechanics of TES building until Skyrim; in MW and OB I was always just concerned with optimal power rather than a well-rounded experience. And I had the impression that, in both games, H2H was weaker both in the early-game and end-game than Blade, Blunt, etc. so I didn't ever experience it properly.
If TES 6 is set in Elsweyr, it would be a massive disservice not to include at least some semblance of unarmed combat progression. I really like the idea of unique perks for Khajiit Temples, the more I think about it. But I'm sure there could be other ways beside bringing it back as a core skill (not that I'm opposed to doing that, mind you).

I've never played a game as monk, but some of the builds here and the sweet unarmed killcams really make me want that class/skillset to make a return in the next TES game. I'm all for taking advantage of the game's mechanics to make unarmed a real force in Skyrim.

Hitting the trigger over and over is how all fighting in Skyrim works, broken up by the occasional hitting the bumper. Any playstyle gets dull if you think about it that way.
