    I might go with Linwye's armor (I hate doing the goldenglow mission, and following Galum-Ei mission), plus I like the combat enchantments it gives you more than the thief enchantments you get from the blackguard (can't get it until you complete goldenglow)

    No Bryn, you can get Blackguard armor. After you join the guild then talk to Delvin and Vex. After that you can pick up the new blackguard set. If you still want to use Linwe's though that's fine, but the blackguard's enchants are better for this build.

    Linwe's armor is sweet, but for this build I think the purpose is to not fight and therefore the blackguard armor would be better. That being said, I love Linwe's armor and use it in all my Assassin/Thief/Sneak builds so I can't fault you for at least picking it up!

    What?! I did that ,I talked to everyone except Dirge, did missions for the both of them... And I couldn't... Bulls***!!!

    Yeah, but it has enchantments to help sneak (crucial for a thief), increase bow damage (crucial for combat), easier to pick up... I like Linwye's a lot more...

    It says in the Wiki that you have to talk to Galvon Mallory on the island and complete two quests for him.

    You can only do 2 quests for him (Nordic pick axe (which I did), and the recipe I have to find (which you can't do unless you're a member of the thieves guild)) I couldn't do the mission until I completed goldenglow...

    It his build is going to help me make this thief different. I'll try and do what you did, don't steal from the dead (except Linwye)

    When you say that you don't steal from the dead that "you killed" does that include people who die from frenzy, atronauchs etc...?
