Yeah I understand, level 1 & 2 unrelenting force are very under-rated in my eyes. I am glad I could help

What makes the fortify resto loop a glitch but necromage/vamp acceptable? They are both exploits and fortify resto can be used with moderation to enhance unarmed. I feel going vampire is equally as gimmicky.

The exploit doesn't come from the perk interaction so much as enchantments counting as restoration effects. Both exploit that fact. You also give Bethesda far more credit than I do. They have some of the laziest and least tested programming in videogame history and a huge list of related unfixed bugs proves that. I think the main reason necro/vamp has become acceptable is the amount of possibilities it presents and its effect is finite unlike the resto loop.

    Hey Crybon,

So the Necromage / vamp is not a glitch... it's a perk that adds a bonus to you being undead, meaning the dev's intended it to be there as an advantage of playing an individual inflicted with Vampirism.

In Vanilla skyrim, this meant constant feeding and not getting to stage 4 while fast travelling to towns. The boosts to skills and stats are minimal as well. In Dawnguard, it changed with the the introduction of the vampire lord mechanics, but the boosts were not changed though you were still flagged as undead, regardless of the type of vamp you played (normal type or VL variant).

The restoration loop allows massive amount of damage to be enchanted to gear, making almost any fight a one hit. Now, while you can gimp the amount you achieve to ensure fair play, but it's not a normal "intended" way of getting  this playstyle up and running, so at any instance where you cannot rush in and one hit or 2 hit an opponent or a dragon, the temptation to utilize the glitch to make it viable at later levels will always be there.

Also, the gameplay fits that as a healer / savior, you would want to seal away the evil within you and use the passive strengths from that to vanquish all other master type vampires to ensure that vampirism in Skyrim is eradicated forever.

Hope this answers your questions mate.

    Hey Carter,

Thanks for the like... So, here's the thing... the monks of TES were more rougish with no inclination towards good or evil. I try to maintain that feel in this build, but the healing powers were not born of devotion but of the master of the body.... cell regeneration and using arcane arts to augment that... hence the restoration school.

If you click on the oblivion link, you will see that the class had no form of healing, which was ok, given that the hand to hand has decent perks... but not in skyrim. So, to avoid being tempted by the restoration loop and to have some form of heals, i used restoration instead. With the option to turn into a vampire offered by serena when entering the soul cairn, it was a no brainer... I had to pick up necromage to reap the benefits.

You make a sound argument. You obviously aren't getting a ton out of necro/vamp since your unarmed damage is still fairly low compared to most weapon damage later in the game. That means you are not using the combo in the same manner that many abuse the resto loop. BTW, I have to agree that you may want to trim down a lot of the RP/background stuff. I speak from personal experience as I made a build that took a massive amount of time and energy but had too much RP which hurt the build. You have a solid build here and I am a huge fan of the monk and sorely miss the unarmed skill.

Yeah, I got that much out of the instructions he gave... been pretty spot on so far. Anyways, I have cleaned up a good portion of the lore (Reduced it by half) and the rest of the information... I have left the moves and enchanting table in.,.. let me know if this seems ok... and as always, thanks for the guidance and help of the builds.

    Hi Zach,

I have cleared up a good portion of the lore... i re-read it and saw your point... it should be a lot neater now. As for level 1 and 2 unrelenting force shout, the minute difference will become evident when you start this build... trust me, once you meditate on FUS and gain "force without effort" the stagger effect is crazy!

That said, a well timed "Fus Ro" + Crossbow hit and then switch to Auriels bow with Quickshot perk will be more than enough to finish your opponents... if they're still not down yet and the shout is of CD, a "Fus" before moving in with a dual unarmed strike is more than enough to finish them off...of  course, we're talking about normal mob here :)

You misspelled "Ysmir" in the build name and in three places in the actualy build itself. I ordinarily wouldn't point out this kind of thing, but I do when it's a part of the build title.
