Great work. In my first play test for The Undying, I played as a Redguard, and found it to be extremely satisfying. I played with Lightning magic; Frost makes sense in terms of Vampirism, but too many things resist it for my taste. Also, Chain Lightning is one of my favorite spells in the game. Granted, Frost makes more sense for this build in particular, for the paralysis/slow. I might have to try this one after I work out the kinks in my upcoming build. :D I like the idea of using Ethereal before Mass Paralysis. Also, as Mason pointed out, it lets you sprint indefinitely when combined with Necromage. That way, Stamina is pretty much unnecessary. I'd probably have Ice Form and Become Ethereal triggered 99% of the time.
Pro-tip: Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, and pick up Nazir's Redguard Hood. The crimson color matches the crimson on the red/charcoal Vampire Armor perfectly. It's a shame that the Alik'r Hood and Vampire Armor don't mesh very well (bits of the hood stick out through the armor). Still a pretty cool look though, to match a cool build.

Yeah the hood does clip a bit, which stinks, but I never thought of taking Nazir's hood for the red armor variant! Gotta try that! It is true that when fighting vampires, frost is useless, which provided a big challenge, but paralysis was the key.
I guess one could alter the build to use lightning, as turning them to ash would be a "permanent" paralysis haha.

I would like to say AWESOME build here....I was getting worried for a while on this blog that we might not see a DECENT vampire build that not only fits RP but also the playing style. You see A LOT of vampire builds or incomplete build here lately and you remind me why I want to post quality builds again especially some Vampire ones. I consider this build on par with the fan favorites because of what it brings to the table. Like you I wanted to research a lot about Elder Scroll lore and history but mainly vampires. To me the Volkihar is the only real vampire build that I would consider a true success because of the cornerstone of those type of builds. The Volkihar highlighted the speed, power, and cunning of the Vampire especially those of Skyrim. The Khulari highlights of course the strengthens of vampires but it also focuses around the unique ability to paralyze which is cool because in Vampire Lord form you can also use a paralyze like-spell. If anyone was planning on being a Vampire i would refer these 2 builds because they are the real mccoy. I myself is working on a vampire build right now its an experiment of course but I wanna use Orcs as the backbone. Seems like the top 2 vampire builds are Khulari and Volkihar which is why I wanna vampire build on the caliber of those great builds. Once again........magnificent job and keep it up.....

Compared to my vampire build which i think it's a master now? Death Knights i think.....anyways lol....this build is much better and more complete. Too many people wanna spread you thin with perks or make you too heavy in one tree. You have a nice balance because you spread thin around but your not compromising you build. By build problem was it was too flexible and open....needed more concrete and believe it or not i learn a lot from your build on how to create a better death knight. I think i might come out with a new and improved build based of orcs if i can find something that sticks.

I have similar troubles, trying to cut a couple perks to fit a specific level cap (or trying to add a couple to meet said cap, without altering gameplay/focus). It just feels weird submitting a level 47 build or something like that.
