  There is, but that has to do with the way the gecko moves, the fact that it's tiny, and a sort of "snow shoe" principle using webbed feet. Argonians have none of that. It makes a lot more sense that they would simply evolve gills.

  Absolutely! How else would the Ehlnofey turn into so many different groups of elves and humans? Of course magical changes happen to races as well, such as the Chimer to Dunmer.

  Old ones + Saurus servants. I don't think the Hist are too terribly concerned with spreading (or maybe they're just very patient), because they could have done a lot of it by now. I mean, how unassuming would it be to have a legion of Argonians just planting trees everywhere.
