Building for Survival Mode (FO4)

    Just up to Local Leader for me as well. I considered taking Wasteland Whisperer/Intimidation but you'll notice in the perk descriptions it says "gain a chance to pacify". I didn't like taking too many risks in Survival, especially those where the outcome (a dice roll done in the background) is beyond my control.

    After watching PCOutcast's new survival video today I went into planning mode a bit but been off the game for awhile and not sure how it would fair. I loved the Charisma perks for my shotgun playthrough and was curious or in the mood to experiment with a sneaky intimidation type build. I will probably get wrecked but who knows?

    Hmm yeah I've only rolled with pacify/intimidation once. It's def powerful on regular levels. But as Ponty noted, SM will def make you risk averse. If I were to try another SM I would try higher intelligence (chemist, robotics expert) actually. But that's just me.

    In totally unrelated news, Far Harbor is awesome. I took my Gearhead into the fog. It's really really good. I hope it helps more people give Fallout 4 a second chance.

    I want to be careful with spoilers here...but essentially I'm going to save before I have to choose and kind of take a peek at all of them. The gearhead would choose the not crazy humans I think.

    If you haven't seen it already, My Synth guide has been updated with some of the more interesting things related to siding with them. If you wanted to you could just skim that to get an idea of some of it, instead of playing through a couple of quests just to go back to that save to try the others.

    Shameless self promotion aside, I've been meaning to make a characters that side with Far Harbor and the Children of Atom. Unfortunately I'm really lazy
