One more thing, I love the S&B skill, defensive stance (morph of defensive posture):
- Bolster your defenses to reflect the next spell projectile targeting you back at the caster.
- While slotted, the amount of damage you can block is increased by 8% and the cost of blocking is reduced by 8%.
- Reflected attacks stun enemy caster.
I gave this skill a whirl two nights ago in PvP and it saved my Templar a few times.

I hear that. I think I lost myself in the Aldmeri questline like no other so far. It is absolutely stunning, the locations are phenomenal and, as you say, the characters you meet are fantastic. Queen Ayrenn, the lore, all of it amazing. Until I got to Grahtwood. Deep rooted Forest Goblin loathing kicked in That isn't true, by then I think I had ruined my characters skills. After playing her again recently and getting my butt cheeks served up by a mudcrab I realised I may need to start again.
You're totally right too, the Khajiit are damned cool in this game.

Before you reroll, did you know that you could respec all your skills or just your morphs. There's a shrine in Elden Root that will do it for you for a gold fee.
What is her class and race? What did you want to accomplish with her?

I remember reading in one of the guides here that one can do that but until you just mentioned it I had completely forgotten. She was my second character I made and I didn't really plan anything. I had a thought that I wanted a battlemage. Then I realised how hot she looked in robes. So there's that, a useless half perked (is that the right term?) Heavy armour skill tree.
So yeah, character concept was minimal. Just wanted to explore somewhere new. What i could do with is advice on how to be a good sorcerer. I explored daedric summoning and the curse stuff, left the other class skill alone. I took elemental staves, probably should have gone for healing instead.
Character and lore I can handle, mechanics I am like a five- year old. It doesn't stick, I get my terminology all wrong

Ha. Sorcerers are my specialty. I rolled a sorc when I first got into the game and have brought it to V16. Honestly, every sorcerer skill line is useful. The destruction staff is a must, along with its passive skills, and you can never go wrong with a restoration staff.
I guess my advice would depend on whether you are rerolling or not. If rerolling, my advice would enable you to raise all of the relevant skill lines efficiently and without grinding. If you're not rerolling, my advice would be a little different.

I am out of touch with her and failed to capture some screenshots of buildings, lore and places I can no longer get back into after completing the associated quests. So there is that going for rerolling. Whenever you have the time, you will find an eager student in me :) It would be nice not to run from every fight.

Okay. I've been trying to decide whether to write up a sorcerer guide. I might just do that now. Give me a little time, and I see what I can do.
Played correctly, a sorcerer is one of the deadliest classes in ESO. You will be a bit squishy in the beginning (as all sorcers should be) but nothing to terribly difficult, and I'll give you some strategies to overcome that. About mid-game, you'll have access to some of the most powerful damage shields in the game, hands down.

Hmm interesting, maybe I just never stuck with it long enough to give the skill line a chance.
Now that you mention it I could probably also drop the resto staff from my Templar's back bar. Early game I found it incredibly useful for the extra magicka but now that I think about it, it's been a while since I've had to rely on a resto heavy attack for magicka regen.

Good call on the resto staff. Unless you plan on relying on Healing Ward or Mutagen, Templar skills should be more than enough for any PvE situation (except the Maelstrom Arena).
EDIT: if you use light armor, you can use the skill, Harness Magicka (morph of Annulment). Not only does it give you a shield, it will fill your magicka bar.
