(Updated) ESO Anniversary - Double (or more) XP Week!!

Everyone knows that leveling in an MMO can be a grind. Well, that's about to change . . . at least for one week.

Next week marks ESO's second anniversary. To commemorate this occasion, Zenimax has introduced a fun and rewarding in-game "quest," whereby a chef NPC will bake you an anniversary cake. But, that's not all:

One slice of his decadent creation and you'll earn twice as much Experience in-game! Must be all that sugar…

    • The event will begin at 7:30pm EDT on April 3, and conclude Tuesday, April 12th at 8PM EDT. Everyone will be able to participate, regardless of platform or megaserver.

If you've stopped running your main character or put off rolling a new character because you hate the grind, consider jumping back in for this event. Here's the best part: that 100% XP boost is only the beginning. It stacks with other XP buffs! That's right, the anniversary cake XP buff stacks with items such as Crown Experience Scrolls, ESO + XP buff, and Psijic Ambrosia potions. Consider the potential:

    • Anniversary boost:     100%
    • Crown XP scroll OR
      Psijic Ambrosia             50%
    • ESO + membership       10%
    • Rings of Mara                10%
    • 2-person Group             10%
    • Exploration Trait           5%
      Total Potential XP Buff:    185%!!!!

The ability to get your character (existing or new) to the max level next week is within reach! With these XP buffs (of any combination thereof), you could either power level at one of the many "grind spots" or just enjoy questing while gaining XP at a staggering rate.

So, if you haven't played in a while, consider giving it a go next week. If you have been playing, but want to raise your character’s level, now's your chance!

My goal is to raise my Altmer Sorcerer to V16 and to roll a Breton Templar Healer and get him to V1. What's your goal?!?

    See you in Tamriel!

You still play? What's your character race/class/level?

    Orsinium, Phil?

NOTICE: Apparently, the Jubilee Cake XP buff was not working as intended on Sunday night and all day Monday. The cake buff was not stacking with other XP buffs. (It was giving a 100% boost, but nothing more). A hotfix was deployed at 11am (EDT) this morning, which corrected the issue.

Because of the error the double XP event has been extended until Tuesday, April 12th at 8PM EDT.

Zenimax also clarified that the Jubilee Cake buff stacks with the following XP buffs:

    • Alliance War Keep buff
    • Crown Experience Scroll OR Psijic Ambrosia (not both)
    • ESO Plus
    • Grouping buff
    • Rings of Mara buff
    • Exploration Trait XP buff

There's two great grinding locations in Wrothgar: Old Orsinium and Rkindeleft.

Yup, I know. I wanted to replay Orsinium quest for some time, but I still lack the time to actually do it. But I would like to find some time during this week.

Same for Phil, I think. We need to get some screenshots of places, dialgues and such.

Yeah, I play occasionally, although this has helped me get my head in that zone again. Tbh I cannot even remember the levels of my characters...I have a few, switch between them when I need a break from the faction storyline or a change of scenery. Like, Daggerfall Covenant has a fairly good story, but sometimes it is a bit... grey. Switching to the vibrancy of the Old Mary makes a nice change of pace. The downside is it takes me forever to level up a character.

@Karves, the thought did occur. I want to try and put a few screencaps in the Gateway but it seems I rarely bothered to take any except for loading screens. I have one of a Pocket Mammoth but none of Echatere or Echalettes. Thought they may make for something worth posting...?

Yeah, Echatere or Echallettes will definitely be useful in future. And now that you reminded me, I might have few pics of Orsinium itself that might be good for the Gateway.
