Imperial City: Yay or Nay?

It has now been about a month since the Imperial City DLC and update 7 have been released for PC, or a little bit over two weeks for us console players, so I feel like this is a good time to reflect. This really was a huge update since it was the first true game expansion. I for one have done a fair amount of testing and goofing around with some of the new toys Zenimax gave us as well as finding ways to work around some of the things they have taken away. Now I want to know what your feelings are on this update. Is there anything that really grinds your gears? Like for me, losing stamina regeneration while blocking was a huge boon because I love playing as a tank and now I have to get creative when building. Or on the other hand, is there anything you really like? For example, the Dual-Wield ability Hidden Blade now activates the Major Brutality buff which helps put Dual-Wield damage builds in a better spot to compete with Two-Handed damage builds.

Here is a link to all of the changes Imperial City has brought with it: LINK

So tell me what do you think? How do you feel about all of the new additions and the changes this expansion has brought?

Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to playing it yet! None of my old ESO mates play anymore and a few of my RL friends that said they were getting the game never did, I feel like I won't really enjoy the new Imperial City content much on my own :(

A lot of the changes for update 7 sound really cool and I definitely agree on your dual-wielding point. Dual wield builds in the past always felt inferior to 2h builds which can put out just as much damage with more CC potential, plus you don't have to find/craft/improve two weapons instead of one.

You could always try out something like the Imperial City Sewers on your own, they seem like a lot of fun. I actually haven't checked them out yet myself because I am more a PvE kinda guy. But the two new group dungeons they added were great!

I really like the changes to Dual Wield. The Hidden Blade buff is huge for these builds, as I said. And they also reduced the cost of Whirling Blades and it grants Major Endurance now instead of giving back weird, unproportioned amounts of stamina that never seem to work right (for me at least). So now your sacrificing the range of Steel Tornado for some sustain and spam-ability. I think that is pretty noteworthy when you have a better chance of spamming your physical AoE/execute. Is it enough to surpass Two-Handed for the main damage weapon? Maybe for someone who is a little more creative and knowledgeable than me lol. But I still really like those two changes, it definitely closed the gap, even if it didn't completely even it out.

I definitely will give it a go when I start getting the DLC
