Dragonbone/scale gear without the dragons?

If you're like me... You love the look of the dragon weapons or maybe the armor and want to use it... But you just hate being dragonborn... Well fear not my lads and lasses! Thanks to a conversation I had with Knight Paladin Robert yesterday, I now know that it is indeed possible to do it with the assistance of a glitch! Ok, what you need is of course the materials, you can get the bones from a skeletal dragon that will appear even if you're not Dovahkiin in the labyrinthian during the college of Winterhold questline and by going to a little shrine that is south of meeko's shack you can get the scales. Now the only other requirement you need (other than the money to buy the other supplies and a high enough smithing skill) is a follower. Any will do, I used Marcurio and Lydia. What you do is drop the item you wish to duplicate, have your follower pick it up, then leave the area via fast traveling, then come back and get your rewards, the new bones and scales. You can than grab the ones in your follower's inventory and restart it all over again. It will not work perfectly every time (only 1 item will duplicate or only all of one type), but it does work. Well, have fun my fellow adventurers... But keep in mind, don't use the last bone and scale unless you are sure you're not going to craft more

I actually dropped 8 scales and 10 bones and they ALL where duped. Best spot is near the main gate in Solitude. Just drop inside the town. Make follower pick up. Go outside thru the main gate and come back in. And the Shrine is Akatosh Shrine. Has a leveled animal and a book.

There's also a few dragon bones in Valerica's lab at Castle Volkihar.

Yeah, also another good place is Whiterun... Wide town, a bridge that you can go under and drop your gear

Dwarven bows plus spouse sleeping, plus eating a meal from them, plus warrior stone, plus dwarven bows :P

Also, when I said it won't work every time I meant to say if you don't see results don't assume you can't do it, it requires some luck

Ben it can be done without smithing(for profit) but for those who don't want OP dragons ruining the peaceful towns(or their not-good-against-dragons character) this can be a huge bonus!
