Paladins have the ability to detect the presence of evil at will, and can pinpoint its source by concentrating. Here's the Paladin's code of conduct:
Code of Conduct: A paladin must be of lawful good alignment and loses all class abilities if she ever willingly commits an evil act.
Additionally, a paladin’s code requires that she respect legitimate authority, act with honor (not lying, not cheating, not using poison, and so forth), help those in need (provided they do not use the help for evil or chaotic ends), and punish those who harm or threaten innocents. While she may adventure with characters of any good or neutral alignment, a paladin will never knowingly associate with evil characters, nor will she continue an association with someone who consistently offends her moral code. A paladin may accept only henchmen, followers, or cohorts who are lawful good.
So when other players in the party decide to commit evil acts you're pretty much forced to stop them - which either results in you stopping them from roleplaying their character properly or nasty out-of-character arguments!

@Bryn Luckily I've only experienced it twice - one time I was playing a Paladin/Fighter and leading a military unit of Good/Lawful/Neutral characters, and the other time nobody in the party was a Lawful Good Paladin (we were playing the 5th ed playtest at the time, and our pally was Lawful Neutral)

Is Aura Whisper or Dragon Aspect affected by any fortify potions or enchantments? I think I read some where AW was affected by fortify alteration.

Your description of the Disarm skill intrigued me, so I searched for it on the wikis.
UESP doesn't say anything about how many you can disarm, but on Skyrim Wikia I found this.
I also (vaguely) remember having disarmed multiple opponents. I haven't played Skyrim for a while now due to some priorities, but right now I am actually making an initial draft of a build that I'm planning to post. When the draft is done, I'll play again on my spare time. It'll be sad if you're right, and it can only disarm one enemy, since Disarm is one of the essential shouts to the build I'm making.
