I really have to agree that contributing to the site is not as user-friendly as it would first appear for those who are not used to multi-user blogs, and having these sorts of little notes about the mechanics of it are really helpful.

To be honest, I'm not a big story teller. I have some character concepts, but with relatively simple backstories. I also have some that uses glitches, e.g. Dawnstar chest. Should I give it a try to post or not?

I'd play with patches and deactivate them when the character is complete. To see if your playstyle actually works without mods. If you are not basing your build on an overhaul mod it should be quite close to vanilla.
