I played this at first with a one-handed blades sword and nothing in the off-hand. With quick reflexes and shield runner you are able to completely move out of the way without even getting hit. Usually doing the backstabbing animation because of the ability to move all the way around the other side of the character you're finally. It's quite rewarding actually.

Thank you Clint and Troll for bumping me up a rank! And with such kind words!
So strange that you bring up both the barbarian aspect of this build and playing it with a blades sword, because I did pretty much the exact same thing after playing my Ronin. First made a Nord woodsman-type to do the Stormcloaks quest who plays just as fast and fluid, but he's more about overpowering the enemy with stamina than having large health.
Then made a rich Imperial knight with an akaviri fascination who moves from using heavy armor and shield/sword to mastering Alteration and one-handed Blades sword combat.

With this character, I didn't use a shield or armor to stay light on my feet, so I took all the shield wall perks to ensure my blocks could soak up as much damage as possible

Well, I'm kind of particular about using the appropriate arrows for whatever bow, and I like to keep my inventory tidy, so I likely had a stockpile of orcish arrows for both the long bow and orcish bow. Unfortunately this guy has been retired for quite some time, so I can't go back and check.

Due to a few recent likes, The Ronin is officially an exemplar build! Thanks guys! For what it's worth, I feel honored. It's the small things, right?

Its all good :) That's what I panned on doing myself was sticking with arrows appropriate to the bow. I already started on my Ronin named him Oni cause well I see Oni's as Japan's Orc havin fun so far combat is really exhilarating what with not wearing any armor minus gloves and boots which are light armor and no means of healing cept regen from the lady stone but man is it fun takin down a group with this guy :)

I feel like this should easily be a Legendary caliber build. The play style with this character has almost changed how I play all my characters now.

I'm usually a believer in the idea that if you're gonna be using a skill, it should be perked (from a roleplay perspective). But since any kind of RP for this guy is so screwed anyway, if I had to do this again, I'd probably do something like this: http://skyrimcalculator.com/356416
SW and the crit perks aren't necessary, magic resist is necessary (though I'd still never use any spells), and I'd throw in one-handed to have some fun with blades swords. I think this is the much more mature perk spread.
